He has to sign for 12m if you want to keep Bourque at around 1.5m. That or you have to trade Lybushkin, Faksa, and Steel. Two of the three are definitely gone if Robo is re-signing.

This roster barely fits the cap and I think I only had 1 extra scratch.

Idk why would Chicago do that but I would take that. Its the 4th that makes the most value. Korchinski is probably another Lundkvist and Nazar is definitely big downgrade on Robo even if he hits his ceiling. But if we look at Rasmus Andersson trade even though Robo isnt RD(which is only value that rasmus had) his value must be surely at least little bit higher.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the draft is the deadline of note. If part of the return is draft picks, you want them now.

Keep it and draft Stenberg if he’s available. He’s NHL ready. Chicago would have to add another piece too like Nazar or it’s not worth it.

Gotcha. I doubt we get a package that big. I’d almost be happy with Nazar, 4th (Stenberg), and MAYBE KK or Rinzel if that’s not too much.

He will never be creating chances because of his speed. He has excellent edgework and moves well in small spaces. But his explosiveness and top end speed leave a lot to be desired.

Maybe he can work on that, I mean Robo made it out of the bottom half of skaters in the league this season. I think Malhotra fits more the direction of forwards Dallas should be aiming for the coming years.

@Johno is a drunk, a Finn and shouldn't be trusted. But he is right in that Stenberg isn't the fastest. Personally I'm not concerned about that. I havent read the draft rumours but from what I've seen from him this season I highly doubt Stenberg is going to last to #4.

I'm very high on Björck, despite how much I despise the team he plays for. Could be better than Stenberg if he can adapt his game to the NHL speed. Could also see him have a Granlund type of a career.

Yeah in this situation cbj was giving robo the money he was theoretically looking for.

I think people are underestimating Nazar here. He is exactly what the Stars need. Elite speed, skill, can play C/RW (I do wish he played more LW though...).

I have fantasies about him being on the team without giving up Robo. So Harley would be a goner.
