Official Francesco Aquilini Thread

I mean he’s not wrong but it’s hilarious and no one is stopping him from tweeting

Like a troll coming out from under his bridge.

Literal radio silence as we're subjected to some of the worst hockey seen by the fans since Bill LaForge.

Then team goes on a 3 game winning streak and he tweets out some sass.

Clown of an owner. Even Melnyk has greater awareness.

Drance, iMac were the two critical of these recent firings

Not sure who else

Only veterans like that would have the balls to say it, because anyone with less of a career would get black listed like a thanos snap.

I still can’t believe this guy just started drama for no reason, after a three game win streak and everything is Positive

He’s an egotistical prick that is frustrated that his toy is being taken away. He’s lashing out to try and make a story about him and is mad that the media doesn’t worship him. He’s not used to scrutiny and will yell and scream at everyone working under him. So to have the media question his decision making throughout this entire process, forces to bring on someone who has total control of the hockey market, and have 3 other members of the Aquilini brain trust be apart of the GM search has caused him to act this way.

This tweet is the perfect example of why a President was sorely needed in the organization.

He wants credit. All these years of owning the club, he's wanted credit. And that's why he started meddling with the Torts signing. Now he was expected praises from the media for the 'quick' turn around and BB hiring.

Like a thing everyone here needs to be fully aware of, he’s the lowest on the family totem pole. At least for the last 10+ years, he runs the family side projects; Canucks and marketing R&D department. He’s not trusted by his own family with things with actual stakes. That’s the decision-maker for our team; the idiot brother of the family.

Blueberries is being childish and highly unprofessional as usual. Still, the tweet is mildly funny because of the usual media shills losing their minds - in reality they're upset because they're losing the access to the organization they used to enjoy under Jimbo.

Yep. One rare time I agree with a tweet of his. Those few media members are crying foul because their time in the sun is over. They're acting like a bunch of amateurs.

FA needs to STFU. The best owners are the ones that you forget even exist.

Guy just needs the spotlight, he's worse than a 14 year old girl on TikTok.

He gets to do 2 press conferences in one week, Aqua is absolutely loving this.

Still some naive people out there thinking he won't meddle. If anything, this gives him more ammo to interfere some more.

He's probably reading this thread right now!

I don’t know. Aquilini got roasted pretty soundly for only tweeting when things were going well. He shows a little personality here by going at some of the media types who have sharpened their hatchets on him.

I don’t have a whole lot of respect for Aquilini, nor do I love the look of an owner wading into conflict like this. But he’s not wrong in this instance.

I thought it was funny when stars like Kevin Durant get rattled by media but a billionaire owner? That’s just pathetic.
