Where does Lindholm fit for us long-term? 3C?

I think he played RW last year in the SEL. Also not convinced his playing in the SEL next year is set in stone, things can always be worked out.

I know he's listed as a C, but can he play wing effectively? If so, I'd put him as a top 6 winger for us. He seems to have too much upside to be slotted at #3 C.

You're saying that there was nothing JR could do. The top four were set in stone and he had no other choice. His hands were tied. He did the best he could with the cards he was dealt.

Which is exactly the same thing we've been saying for four years now. JR couldn't trade Ruutu or Whitney at the deadline. He had to sign Pitkanen and Gleason to long-term deals. Etc., etc.

JR never has a choice. He's always backed into a corner with his hands tied. No options. Right?

Lindholm slots as a 2nd line center ideally. His playmaking skills are just .....insane. Perhaps unrivaled in this class is his passing ability. He doesn't have much for a shot, but everything else is there. If he can play the Matt Cullen to Jordan Staal playing the Brind'Amour, we might be able to replicate the success of that team.

Exactly. Nichushkin got out of his KHL contract after everyone thought it was impossible.

I think JR will try his damnedest to get him over here ASAP. He has an out clause, it is possible.

OK, I will move on to my future hopes and no longer worry about the past.

Hopefully three years from now, Jordan will be the third line center, and Lindholm will be the second line center so Jordan can finally concentrate on a role that he excels at, instead of trying to be something he is not.
