Some random pros and cons:
Cons:
- notification center
- picking weird WiFi networks (why would you choose my weakest one just because it has a 5G on it if I'm in my bedroom?)
- really don't like that little bar at the bottom in iMessage
- having to dig into settings to change everything to the way I had it in iOS 10, such as notification previews
- battery seems a bit weaker but I'll wait to judge before the background optimization is done after a day or so
- feels a bit unresponsive on first taps for some apps but this may have been an issue for the first 24 hours or so because of all the optimization and background processes happen as usual with new updates
- smaller music player on lock screen
- these god damn big bold letters at the top of every app -- I know which app I opened, stop eating up so much space
- no more 3D touch from the left hand side to multitask.
Pros:
- feels faster when it's working, which is more often in the past few hours
- control center customization
- 3D touch and redesign
- screenshots
- update to apps such as notes
- files app
- new scrolling
- the only positive about notification center is it'll hide older notifications and only show them when I swipe up... but that means a second swipe up in order to reach my control center from the lock screen
- new app switcher/multitask screen looks a bit nicer
- ability to only allow apps to use my location while I'm using it... for every app. There's no reason an app needs to always have access to my location, thank God Apple added that.
- volume bar for videos
It doesn't feel like the stability is all the way there just yet for this update. It sort of feels like a real good final beta release but there's still some bugs and stuttering. It's okay, but I'd wait for 11.0.1 for all the bug fixes and whatnot if you haven't updated yet.
iMessage backup to iCloud and Apple Pay in iMessage isn't available until iOS 11.1 and there's rumours the app switcher by 3D Touching the left side of the screen will make a return too.
