When the phone is 1st started you can't use the bio to unlock. I hope somebody didn't screw that up.... lol.
It's like that with the fingerprint scanner too. You need the passcode to unlock when you first power it on.
In iOS 11, quickly pressing the power button 5 times also enables passcode unlocking before using your face or Touch ID. This is used as a security measure against law enforcement forcing someone to use their fingerprint or face to unlock a phone.
I am sure Arya Stark LOVES the Face Id thing, specially when used with Apple Pay.
I like Apple and I like their products but people getting excited and them acting like using your face to unlock your phone, augmented reality and wireless charging are something new is funny to see.
I believe Microsoft phones (which were awesome but didn't get the support) did face recognition (iris scanner) and wireless charging before anyone else did.
It took years for Samsung to catch up and now iPhone is doing it like its new.![]()
