Is anyone on the public beta system when it comes to software updates? I am because of 10.3 and the updates to Apple Carplay, but I'm unsure how to get to the page where they detail what each beta update contains. I would click on the link, they would ask me to sign in and it's just the general guide. For example, they released another public beta update today (10.3.2) and I downloaded it but I don't know what it is. I was assuming bug fixes and that but I really need to be more careful as to what I put on the phone, just in case Apple doesn't get it quite "right". (I also back up my phone to the hard drive on a regular basis.

I stopped the beta after too many gitches. Also tip for you guys with the beta and getting a new iphone. The new phone will sometimes be a previous version and you can't sync it from back up. You need to get them on the same version. It was a mess for me.

No one should use the beta on their primary phone. It's just not for that purpose. There's a reason they originally went developer-only with this, but far too many people were getting it anyway via torrents and such.

Not sure if Batteries+ stores are available in Canada, but I paid $60 there about 6 months ago.

Went to apple store. Waited 2 hours until they told me they couldn't replace battery cuz my device had come into contact with liquid.

With some rumor of delayed iPhone gonna be an interesting 8 months

I believe Office Max or Staples have people who will replace cell batteries.

They also refuse to service water-damaged phones, unfortunately.

No one should.

They open it up, replace the battery, and it still doesn't work because it was wet.

Now you refuse to pay, you're pissed off, they've wasted time and money; it's a big mess.

I agree, to an extent.

Even if the phone is working a-ok, they won't do any repairs if the moisture sensor is triggered (usually a colored dot in the charging port), for the exact fear you mention.

But they won't even do it if you agree to waive them of any liability. And I understand. Just ended up taking it to a mom & pop repair shop.

Sounds like the release of the 8 is getting pushed back to November rather than the typical September date.

Sounds like it's going to be the first new iPhone in 3 years! I'm actually kinda psyched. But I don't really feel the need to upgrade either.

I splurged a little bit and bought an iPad Pro and some AirPods. I gave Android another shot recently, but the UI and apps just bog down so badly. The iPad Pro is snappy. The AirPods are funny - I disliked them when trying them in an Apple Store, but the lure of no cords at all was just too much.

The iPhone 8 in all its glory. Not gonna lie, this is far better than a curved infinity display imo.

Too early to believe "leaked images". There has been different concepts for some time now.

There's a point where spec leaks and renders combine to pretty much confirm the final design. I think we're about there. The new camera placement, the elongated power button that may hold the Touch ID sensor (we know it's not on the front, and it won't work on the back), the lack of an in-screen Touch ID (not happening yet, even for mighty Apple), and the realistic top and bottom bezels - I'd bet on the leak in my post.

See, it's far from a given that the Touch ID won't be embedded in the screen. This article (from a good source of everything Apple) is from yesterday afternoon:

https://9to5mac.com/2017/04/25/new-...display-in-screen-touch-id-front-camera-more/

Furthermore, the video offers a solid take on what the bezel-less design could look like, showing how well the deep blacks of the OLED display contribute to the experience. There’s also in-screen Touch ID support, something that may or may not end up launching with the iPhone 8 later this year.

Beyond November. They will start manufacturing it in late October/November, so when it's actually released, it might be closer to Christmas time, which makes more sense sales wise. To finish that quarter MASSIVELY.

My only gripe with Apple right now is the OS, I wish they would just update it so we can do some of the things Android can. Folders, having documents, adding documents, but then they would need to add that functionality to Itunes and that annoys me to no end.

On another note...

I bought an Iphone 6s for my mom, the guy that owned it was the legit owner as he showed me the receipt but refused to hand me the receipt for warranty purposes, a few days later, he icloud locked my phone and told me he would unlock it for $100 more. I'm angry enough to track him down and knock him out. Second time I've been burned buying an Iphone 6s for my mom second hand.

Latest rumored leaked iPhone 8 schematic shows that it will have the Touch ID in screen. I doubt it's the real/final sketch, but it funny that rumors are already everywhere.

Hopefully it's inside the screen. I'm pretty confident Apple isn't stupid enough to put it on the back.

Charging my 5c is becoming a pain, gotta jiggle the lightning cord and can't move it or use it while charging because it'll flicker. Been holding out as long as I can but gonna go upgrade tomorrow. Money isn't an issue. 6s or 7? What's the consensus?
