the shot was deflected and goal credited to either Baertschi ir Shore, who it was I do not know as the PBP guy says Sven but the beat writer for the ADK Flames says Shore

Ryan Culkin may have been cut with a skate. He threw off his gloves and rushed to the room holding his wrist/hand

Ryan Culkin is out indefinitely. A skate cut ligaments in his wrist. His season is likely done.

Well there goes one of the bright spots of our prospect pool this season. Hope hes able to recover without issue.
Yeah I hope this kid has a full recovery. Sounds like Gillies is showing why he is around the Flames though.....

Teammates got off the ice from morning skate on Saturday and checked in with him, each getting the gory details. Trevor Gillies compared war stories with Culkin, showing him the scar from a similar injury. He watched Culkin move his fingers and said "oh you'll get that back" (meaning full range of motion).

Flames lose 3-2 to Utica for the 2nd straight night.

Ugh, I was there. I'm originally from the Utica area and I groaned when I saw three buses from Utica pull up in front of the GFCC. Many of them were already drunk.

That shorthanded goal at the beginning took the air out of 3/4 of the stands. I though the Flames have to beat them sometime, but as soon as the first goal happened I knew it wasn't going to be tonight. Then we had the lead, then we gave it up. We spent a lot of time in their zone, but they were able to capitalize on all of our defensive lapses. We outshot them badly but they got all the good chances. They are just in our heads at this point. I want to see my Flames crush them at least once before they aren't mine anymore.

There was a fight in the stands towards the end, but it was on the other side of the building so I couldn't make out exactly what was happening. People were all ganging together and security broke them up.
