My pitching depth is the best I've had thus far in 3 drafts...

Very curious to see how the judges score them.

With all due respect, I don't consider Halladay to be a #2 in this format, especially in a 16 team league. Bumgarner is far too green IMO to be a #3. Pettite and Blue are fine where they are.

Your bullpen is great though.

Halladay imo is a first ballot HOF and given his career proves to me that he's a #2, even in an ATD.

Bumgarner might be a stretch at 3, but only ever so slightly and his playoff performance has shown him to be a game breaker in the clutch.

Halladay was the 39th starting pitcher pick, so in a 16 team league, that's right around #3 territory.

He's not even close to a first ballot HOFer. And I loved the guy. I think he was a horse. But I think he's more of a good #3 in this.

It's insanely hard for a pitcher to get a first ballot HoF nod, let alone get in currently. Just look at Moose and Schilling.

The pitchers getting in right now are the shoe ins from the 90s... Randy Johnson, Pedro, the Braves' triplets and older hold overs (Blyleven, Goose). You're not seeing the love for the pitcher equivalent of the Biggos, Larkins, Alomars, Pucketts. The votes aren't showing a lot of love to the "borderline" pitchers like they do a lot of "borderline" position players.

He's not.

I sent DHF a pm, he will have to pick again, as his choice, Doug Jones has already been selected.

I think the question of best pitching depth begins and ends with my team.

Pitching sure...I don't know how good your offense is though, you don't really have a lot of gamebreakers power or speedwise for an ATD.

Bleh I thought for a second Connor might get back to me, surprised at some of the 1B picked before him.

Not that backup 1B is a huge priority for me with a guy that never takes a day off starting but the value's great here.

Yeah I didn't necessarily need a 1B and the one I have is a lefty too, but I needed a lefty bat off the bench and the value was too good to pass up.

TBH I didn't realize how good his numbers were (and the fact he was a SB threat on top of it) till after my last pick or I would have just taken him there and saved my fifth/sixth pen pitcher for later. I wasn't even really looking at 1B that much though considering I could get away with not drafting one with Gehrig, and Pete's ability to shift over. OTOH I could also not draft a 3B backup and have Pete shifting over as as my backup there.
