Someone stole our Amazon packages right off our front steps minutes after our Amazon driver took a proof of delivery photo. 8:12pm it was delivered. By 8:20 it was stolen. My Ring camera didn't pick up any movement (of course) but picked up the car we assume stole it but by the time I went outside it was gone. Very disappointing. Very upset. Such a violation. Every house on my street has cameras except our new neighbors and directly across from me. If they had one I would of got to see who took it.

All around the neighboring neighborhood this has been happening since Thanksgiving. In fact, the neighborhood mailbox was broken into and stole my neighbors check. Luckily the bank sorted it out so now we cant use that mailbox. We take our mail to the post office. Even with all this happening, I never thought it would happen on my street. And my damn Ring camera of course misses it.

I bought a 360, 24/7 security camera just now on Amazon. I'm going to put it on the other side of the door. So at the very least I won't miss anything. I love my Ring doorbell but it goes idle too often.

Hope the porch pirates enjoys the kids birthday card, toddler outfit, and a pack of binkys.

So mad. Such a violation. People have some nerve.

This is the other security camera I just bought. In case someone is looking for a 24/7 continuously recording security camera. It had good reviews. So hopefully the blind spot where the Ring camera failed, this one won't.

Is there somewhere this group goes to talk politics

I am genuinely terrified for your country and frankly the world by extension

There used to be a “hidden” politics forum but it was shut down a few years back for obvious reasons.

This is so frustrating and I'm sorry you're dealing with it. It happened to us Christmas 2022, had a $100 Zappos order plucked off the porch. I've never felt so vulnerable in my own home. I have since added "BACK PORCH" onto address line 2 of every online order, which sometimes works and sometimes they don't care. Luckily, the guy across the street is neighborhood watchdog, and will ring my doorbell super aggressively when we get deliveries to the front.

Hoping this is your last time experiencing this. People suck!

Unfortunately, we live in a criminal society.

Just spent another 40 minutes dealing with insurance for Jake’s lip and tongue ties. This claim has been back and forth for almost a year now. It’s incredible the hoops you have to jump through.

Fortunately, I follow up every phone call with an email so I have a paper trail with everything in case they try to get out of paying.

I can’t imagine trying to navigate this process for people who might not be tech savvy.

I am old and not very tech savvy. Lucky for me I picked a good supplemental plan for my insurance when I retired,, and it pays for almost everything...no ticky tacky payments at all or paperwork. No payments when I go to the doctor.

Good luck! When I worked, I had a Blue Cross HMO and had to get a reference for everything and had to make payments every time I went to the docs. I am pleasantly surprised (after the test of hip replacement and all that goes with that like PT) that my plan works just like I hoped it would.

I love my car, but when i bought it, I did not take into account that I would need to be Zdeno Chara-sized to knock 6-7 inches of snow off the roof. Or clean the entire windshield, for that matter. Lol

I have a snow brush, and it got done, but it was still an effort. I think i can hear my old Saturn laughing at me.

I need a house with a garage.

I have the same problem with my SUV. You should get a small step ladder to be able to reach the roof.

Of course. But because of battery life I can't always go with max for everything. I have the fence to alert me if a package is dropped off there but half the time my camera will miss it. I need to get the solar panel to go along with the battery I have. It's just beyond fustrating. However, my good friend and neighbor up the street took a look at her camera and confirmed that this red car that I got a glimpse of WAS following the Amazon truck and shut their lights off while going up my street. Can't see any plates or anything.

But I know it was that car. So now everyone on the street will be on the lookout if the person tries again.

Such a violation of privacy. How people think they are entitled to other people's items are beyond me. Smh

Cats are great - get two. You will never have a mouse problem again - if their kittens may I suggest Tuukka & Sway
I will sooner sell the house. No joke.

I'd have to go with Cuff and Link for names though

Do you have a telescoping snow brush?

I am vertically challenged at 5'1 and the telescoping one really helped me when I got my Crosstrek. That said, it is still awkward and I have to ask for help from time to time b/c I am not crazy enough to use a step stool.

For Christmas my daughter gave me our next away Bruins game. We are going to see the Bs vs the Pens in Pittsburgh. I have never been there. The game is in April.

Hopefully I will be feeling good then

I rather doubt you do, but in case you want to brush up on your Penguins history (I would never watch this so I don't know if it includes GM Eddie Johnston tanking to get Lemieux in '84),
