The wife, "blah, blah, blah, groceries, our daughter, dinner for tomorrow, blah.."

Me, "please evacuate the room immediately, season premier of FTWD is on."

****.

I just finished up installing a new soft top on a 99 miata. That **** kinda sucks to do. Worked (not fast) from like 1pm to 9:30pm. My fingers ****ing hurt.

This post also belong in the beer thread, as all physical labor should be followed with a strong IPA.

Walked the entire L.A. Zoo today. As an afterthought, I checked the iPhone Health app. It revealed I took 11,372 steps today, which converts to 4.83 miles.

Holy ****. No wonder I was exhausted. Came home and promptly hit the sack. Slept for three hours, and as soon as I awoke worked on the salary chart adjustments due to the Ehrhoff signing.

That's dedication, man. And not necessarily smart, for reasons I won't get into at this venue, but I like doing it because there is a certain level of appreciation among the posters here.

Do they have any big cats?

I will admit that I am very easily impressed. And I am impressed.

Lions were sleeping, one upside down (no lie...sleeping on it's back, with it's hind legs up in the air).

Tiger exhibit was closed for some reason.

Didn't get to see the leopard...that was near the end of the day and I wasn't going to backtrack to find it...that's the only cats I remember on the map.

"Am I NOT the sexiest man you've ever seen?"

That is the problem with zoos or the wild animal park. You either gottan be there at 6am or 6pm to see the big animals. Their instinct is for them to sleep through high noon and not get burned alive by the hot desert, jungle, or savanna sun.

this is pretty *****en for several reasons; The harmony, the folk influences, and the Finnish accent seals the deal

Yup.

Of course, the Los Angeles Zoo isn't open at 6 a.m. or 6 p.m. Their hours are strangely restrictive (10 to 5 every day). So you are stuck with watching the big cats sleep. I told the girlfriend that perhaps it would be best to come in the middle of Winter when the big animals would be awake but I am thinking you are right, that instinct would prevail and they would be sleeping anyway.

All the other animals were awake, though.

I got that photo of the lions sleeping...if I can get it uploaded, I will post it later today.

The Wild animal park is 9a-6p but they often open the doors earlier. If you ever go in the AM, hit up the big cats and then from 10a-4p go look at birds, giraffes, rhinos, etc then go back to the big cats.

The cheetah run is great.

You don't realize how fast those sons of *****es are until it is running straight at or right in front of you
