I’m in the process of finally cutting the cord with cable. Leaf games are on either Sportsnet or TSN. If I subscribe to both of those apps will I be guaranteed to get every game? I’m in Burlington

Appreciate any insight

Should be good, yes, I cut cable years ago. Miss the ease of PVR for watching it at my convenience, but not enough to go back. Sportsnet is ok for that, they keep the game up and available for replay for like 12 hours or something. TSN is a miserable website. Watching the live feed is fine, but if you miss it live it's pretty much gone. Might show up a day or two later but good look avoiding the final if you want to watch it "live".

Thanks. Have to do something, $90 for a bunch of channels we never watch or record. Plus paying for al the different streaming channels, it's gotten out of control.

If I start watching the game late, can I start from the beginning? I know with DAZN I can only start from the beginning once it's over.

I'd suggest looking into IPTV.

Sportsnet yes, can start from beginning while it’s live, no trouble, the option is there to choose live or start from beginning.

TSN, couldn’t remember, so I just logged in on phone and was able to drag the live feed of the US Open back to start, but it jumps you right to the live action, so you gotta try to not see a score doing that.

It’s true.
it’s really really hard to justify paying for cable. The only reason I still do is because I have a very low price with rogers that I am tied into for one year. It takes a REAL song and dance on the phone when the year is up for me to try to get the same price. It’s about a 3 hour process given all the time on hold, but it’s worth it for me. I keep saying if ever they won’t give me that price and cancel my good deal, I will cut the cord. I’m honestly nervous for when that day comes. im sure eventually they will tell me to f*** off and pay the normal price lol.

but yeah, it’s good for sports, survivor and pretty much nothing else.

Yeah, I've been dragging my feet on it too long but I love the ease of just turning the tv on and going to a game to watch.
I don't always know what I want to watch. I sat down on Saturday afternoon with an hour to kill and stumbled on a great College Football game, I'll miss doing that.

Yeah, sports are basically the only reason I keep cable. Getting tough to justify the bill though. I used a free streaming app for awhile that was decent, but the quality was really inconsistent (to be expected I guess with those bootleg streams). Is there a decent paid streaming service you can pay for to get all of the Leafs games?

That's why I asked. I assumed between SPORTSNET NOW and TSN PLUS that would cover all the games.
I don't mind paying for quality and I'd keep cable if they would let me pay for only the channels I want.

I was paying Bell about 90 bucks a month for cable. When the season ended, I cut down to a lower package. All we ever watch in the summer is the CP24 news, and one other channel my wife likes. You can order channels one by one but only after you first order their cheapest package which was I dunno, 30-40 bucks so I had to pay that, plus like 7-8 bucks for each of the channels that we wanted so I still had to pay 50 bucks or WE for just 2 channels, a freaking joke.

I was going to start looking into it as the season approached and the subject randomly came up in conversation and a buddy says oh I have IPTV, works great. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, I paid upfront a little over 400, 175 for the box, and 20 bucks a month for a year. So I'm all set for 12 months and next year, it'll just be 240 for the year as I have the box already so about 900 bucks a year less than I was paying Bell.

I now have 16 000 channels or WE and according to my buddy, watching sports is no problem. I get all the Canadian and US channels, plus thousands of channels from europe plus all the current TV shows are in another place and a ton of older shows as well. Oh yeah movies too, I watched Licorice Pizza the other night, good movie!

There's also a separate channel for each NFL team which is pretty LOL, I'm not a big fan really but I'm curious to see how that works, might check it out on Sunday. Bottom line, I couldn't be happier and it was a special pleasure to politely decline to hear what Bell wanted to offer to get me back when some telemarketing firm called me on their behalf not long after I cancelled.

There are a ton of IPTV options out there, some you can apparently get without any hardware, though then they recommend getting a VPN. There are also scams out there so I'd be careful, do some research etc. but so far IPTV gets a massive two thumbs up from me, so far my only regret is not doing this years ago. Good luck!

I dumped cable years ago, 300 channels and nothing of value on tv. I got a antenna so I can watch Saturday games, but go old school mostly listening on the radio while I putter in the workshop

We do Bell's "alt" TV. Its basically internet cable, with less channels at a cheaper rate. Cut our table bill down substantially and was cheaper than TSN + SN, but that may have changed

Free NHL streams are easy to get, there is one well known app that has been running streams since 2016 and it works with chromecast if you have a smart TV.

I still prefer cable though so I don't have to deal with all the buffering and frame rate issues.

For anyone who cares: we just witnessed one of the biggest upsets in MMA history. I cann't believe what STrickland accomplished tonight. This is a victory for the world - trust me.

You need to stream online - depending on your moral stance with paying money to a large corporation or paying zero money and having minor inconveniences . . . the choice is yours.

I used SN last year and had access to all games. Although I had "premium" as I am outside the Leafs region, I got all games that were not in my region. So you should get all games in your region. They just had the TSN stream on games they owned.

I actually got cable for local games for that reason. I now get 100% of NHL games easily and I don't really care about a few hundred bucks for the convenience.

I’m not too worried about other games, I want to be sure that I will get all Leaf games without issue.

Don’t judge them too hard against my 9’ers, they are stacked :)
They were terrible, I wasn’t expecting a win but they didn’t even show up. Niners looked fantastic. They stay healthy and they roll through the NFC.

It's them and the Eagles.

If there is no God, then the Cowboys might be in it too.
