tried the beef chuck pot roast in the slow cooker yesterday and the spatchcock chicken on the bbq this evening.

both were winners and will go over nicely next week with the boys.
What was the verdict?

I might be late to the party, but if you haven’t seen this it’s worth a look.

just got home today.

the bacon wrapped scallops won the contest! the spatchcock chicken was a close second. The 10 day aged burgers were truly the best 'non home made' burgers we've ever had.

the only thing that didn't go over well was the potroast. I guess the 3.5 hours in the crockpot wasn't enough. Was tough and firm. Pisser was I should have just done it for 6+ hours. I came in from fishing to specifically start it.

But overall everything went very well.

:thumbu: Glad to hear.

Yeah, Pot Roast is low and slow. 6 - 8 hours minimum.

Remember those days well. Hated playing those guys. Even the refs were intimidated. Recall one time in OT we had a wide open net and Joe Watson grabbed the stick. Not even a penalty called…. Sigh. Hated Kate Smith, hated the sign guy.
Though I got a soft spot for Reggie Leach, my then school mates cousin, who played ball hockey with us a couple times when he visited during the summers.

My neighbour from my childhood home was drafted by Philly in the Broad Street Bullies era, he was a nice guy, but man was he mean on the ice, never made the Flyers. I think he was captain of the Kingston Canadians, anyways if he sees this your neighbour from 2 doors down says hi………

I don't like sour beers but that second one ... good reviews on the web and that color is gorgeous! The LCBO in my hood seems to have a few of these on hand, I just might go pick up a few of these for tonight.

Thanks for sharing!

Any time! I grab the odd sour here and there. I'm sure you'll like it.

Post some pics and your thoughts if you track it down!
