NFL has framework of a stadium deal between the rams/chargers. Chargers vetting it now and barring anything unforeseen, plan on going to LA
--------------------------
Chargers look to be joining them, sure didn't take long. Go Bolts!

I'm pretty sure the Rams didn't want to share a brand new stadium with the Raiders' fans. Graffiti in the restroom on opening day, guaranteed.

I really doubt LA's ability to support two franchises long term (once the new car smell wears off) but hopefully I'm wrong.

I love football but don't really enjoy going to stadiums to watch games at all. It's much more enjoyable watching in HD at home and being able to fast forward through the 1 1/2 hours plus of commercials.

Anyway, hope this works out.

Live football is the worst sport by a mile.

Okay so who the heck is gonna root for the Chargers here in LA? We got the Rams of course since they're back(until they leave again), and the pathetic die hard raider fans(no offense to anyone on here)? Chargers in LA is a hooooooorrrrible Idea!

I think it is lame they plan to use artificial turf.

I heard they're gonna spray paint the dirt and existing weeds.

(Boggles my ****ing mind how people actually PAY for this service...)

Turf is the plan and it's an embarrassment.

Considering the drought might be the best economic decision.

A golf course close to me took 2 years to rebuild and open, just before the state ordered watering to stop. Now it's all brown. Those planners and caretakers must be in 100% depression mode.

Sorry but the water used in a stadium's field is immaterial to our drought. Never mind the fact that the source of the vast majority of our water (the Sierra Nevada) is getting toooooons of rain/snow this year we will claw back significantly against the drought.

Has nothing to do with weather. They want to host the NCAA tournament.

Gross. They'd do better having grass and easily hosting a couple high profile soccer matches each year rather then host the ncaa tournament once a decade.

All the Mexico national team matches, elite European club and international tournament ( like the gold cup and this summers copa America ) will just stay at the rose bowl and coliseum. That's easily 5 gates a year over 60,000 fans. Much harder to host when you have to pay $1m+ to install crappy temporary grass and less likely to work (as opposed to s place like Seattle) when there are other large grass stadium options in town.

Interesting question, with teams moving and fan support etc.

If the Kings moved to, let's say, Houston would you still support the team?
