I've never been a big football fan, so I only watch it pretty casually. I don't have a favorite team, there are just some teams I like more than others. For those of you who love the NFL, have you always been Rams fans even after they left? Or did you switch to a closer team? Are you going to be Rams fans now that they are back and abandon the other team? It seems like a weird situation to be in.

I loved the Rams when I was a kid, man. Knew who the players were and all that. Became a Raider fan because at least they had the decency to stay in the state and Oakland was their home in the first place. Not going back to the Rams. Too much time and anguish invested. The thing I can't get over is that I put in all this time being a Raider fan watching bad teams, and it only made me a more staunch Raider fan. What kind of person would I be if I gave up on them? No better than a lot of people like to claim LA fans are. If the Raiders go out of state then things change. Can't go to a game anymore. Not the same.

Hope the Raiders and Chargers figure out things in their home markets. LA only needs one team.

My mom's side of the family are Patriots fans (all born in Boston). My dad's side are all Rams fans. I could never support a team that wasn't in LA and I can't stand St. Louis sports so I never liked them.

I have a ton of USC alumni in my family so I've always been more of a college football fan. I worship the ground Pete Carroll walks on so I've been a Seahawks fan since he went there. There's a big SC contingent in Seattle.

Happy to have the Rams back in their RIGHTFUL home. My uncle has been a Chargers season ticket for a while so he could get his NFL fix. He had Rams tickets for years.

I was a Rams fan since 1967-68 season, got to see my first game when I was 10 and the Rams played the Falcons to a 10-10 tie in the Coliseum. (Falcons, a bad team then, always gave the Rams fits...I think that was their first or second season in existence at the time.)

Anyway, I know what St. Louis fans are feeling tonight. I can't be that much sympathetic to them because after all, they took our team from us and rubbed our face in it. That was horse **** right there.

I tried to follow other teams, like the Steelers or Cowboys or even Chargers, but it just wasn't the same. So I never really got into football in the early season since we lost the Rams but I would watch games later in the season just to be entertained and root against 49ers, Packers, etc.

I'm thrilled we are getting the Rams back. Always felt weird with them in St. Louis. Didn't seem right...the Super Bowl title in 2000 was bittersweet for me. I was happy the Rams won while not overly cheering for them, but when that ***** got up there and said "I knew we were right to move to St. Louis" which had absolutely no relevance for them winning the Super Bowl, I soured immediately on the team.

Anyway, I ramble. Today is a great day.

Just a casual fan as a kid, and I'm not a huge follower of football now, but that might change. I didn't get into the politics of them moving to St. Louis or feel any betrayal, just a little bummed that my team was gone. I was never into the Raiders or any other city's team. Just the Rams. Glad they're back. Gives me my old home team to root for.

I have no sympathy for St. Louis fans to be honest.

They were given a team that was not theirs. They didn't support them to the degree they deserved and desperately wanted them to build a stadium that was very obviously going to be outdated and a point of contention in the near future.

They also like the Cardinals.

And the Blues.

The Rams have always been a second team to me and will stay that way, though. I suspect when I have kids they'll be Rams fans. It's absolutely wrong that a generation of people here were robbed of being able to share something like that with their kids. The NFL is probably happy now, but **** the NFL.

When he was about 9 or 10, my son asked me why we didn't have a football team. I told him the truth, that a very bad lady took one team away and an old man that looked like an ugly lady took the other.

I texted him today right after the vote was in, "Los Angeles Rams!!!" and we talked on the phone, told him I'm finally going to take him to a pro football game. He's 22. Incredible.

With the Rams coming home, does that change anything for you? Or are you going to stand by the Seahawks and Carroll?

That's awesome that you get to experience your son's first game with him, even if it's a bit late. Enjoy the **** out of that day, man. :)

You know the lakers and dodgers "bailed" on their fans as well right? Relocations happen.

Before my time.

I predict non-sellouts by Week 3.

Totally agree.

Holy ****. You are dead to me.

It definitely feels really weird being that these teams have a pretty decent rivalry (ignoring the fact that the Seahawks usually get pounded by the Rams). I've been an SC and Kings fan my entire life. I live LA sports. I'd say on a long enough timeline I'll probably be a Rams fan once Pete Carroll retires and SC clears out in Seattle. I wanted him to succeed so bad in Seattle after everything he did at USC and ESPECIALLY after everyone said he wouldn't have any success. Before he went there I would always root for former Trojans. Troy Polamalu is my favorite all-time Trojan so I had a big soft spot for the Steelers. Clay Matthews was a beast too, but I can't stand the Packers. Some other teams I currently have a soft spot for are the Jaguars (Lee), Texans (Cushing), Bills (Woods), and even though I hate the Jets, I'll always root for Leonard Williams. After he started falling I knew it was gonna be the Jets. It's also an awesome coincidence that Carson Palmer (arguably one of the all-time best Trojans EVER with OJ, Bush, and Leinart) and Matt Barkley (who in my opinion was, and continues to be, criminally underrated to USC fans) are on the same team. Barkley is very similar to Kessler - incredible players that crushed records while being stuck on average teams.

It's pretty easy to root for almost every team given how many players USC has put into the NFL (both in the first round and all together). They lead all schools by a pretty large margin. It's staggering how much talent they have produced.

I live LA Kings hockey, but I'd probably say I'm a bigger USC football fan. My family is fanatical about it. It makes their current state even more difficult to cope with. It's been painful to watch the state of such a prestigious program.

Just really happy that the Rams are home. It feels so weird having NFL football in LA. Happy for everyone like my dad, uncle, and Ron that lived this team for many, many years. My uncle's office looks like a ****ing Rams museum. He has a Rams helmet (original yellow and blue) next to a taxidermy ram.

Thanks for the mention, RP, very cool of you.

When I was a kid, my folks bought the Rams blue and white helmet for me and my brother. This had to be about 1971 or so. Damn but I wish I knew what happened to them. We used to wear them to play street football.

That Blue and Yellow Dickerson costume I'm wearing in that photo was my favorite thing to wear for a while. I got it for Halloween, but darned if I didn't wear it everywhere. I remember wearing it to my cousin's birthday party...It was not a costume party.

Dickerson could plain gallop. I went to a number of games in Anaheim where he just ate up yardage. I remember one time the Rams got backed up to a 3rd and 50 situation (no lie) and he ran for 49 yards...and we punted on 4th and 1.

Seriously Can't believe the Rams are coming back. Grew up a rams fan when they left was piss as he**. But honestly LA football fans are terrible. Looking forward to non sellout and blackouts. It was brutal before the rams and raiders left and I dont see it changing. But hoping for the best.

Fair enough, but my main concern is the Rams haven't been good for what... a decade now? They hadn't threatened to move and they were still terrible for years. Once the new car smell wears off, people aren't going to support a losing team in LA, so they'd better win.

Not to mention the city of St. Louis got royally ****ed in all of this.

The fall started the day Dick Vermeal retired, then Mad Mike Marks took over, only to have Vermeal unretire and coach another 4 more years in KC. I think if Vermeal stuck around, another championship would've happened. He's have definitely done a better coaching job vs the Patriots in the SB.

Give them three years of a honeymoon period and then another year or two in the new building. If Stan is legitimately interested in contending (which I believe he is now that he's out of St. Louis), four or five years is plenty of time to build a winner. Here's a wild idea - go all-in on Tom Coughlin.

It's almost surreal. I feel very much the same way when the Kings won the Cup the first time. Surreal...it's great to get them back. Now, let's see if they can make the playoffs.

Lol Coughlin knew Rams are coming and then resigned makes sense now.

The Rams (and Chargers) are both going to be awful again next year, I think the idea is to be back to contending by the time the new stadium is done. But yeah, winning is going to be key once the 2-3 year honeymoon ends.

The Rams in a league that is geared towards passing the ball don't have a QB and arguably the worst WR core in the NFL. I know it was discussed here a bit earlier, but I think the Rams may roll the dice on RG3, he atleast is a marquee name that could generate some buzz.

That won't change with Fisher at the helm. Hopefully he gets left in St. Louis. Getting RGIII with Fisher just means Tavon Austin, RGIII, Todd Gurley all working running plays

We got royally ****ed 21 years ago. I'm not all that sympathetic.

And I really take exception to the bolded part. The Kings lost forever and ever. Fans still supported the team through thick and thin, and now that we are thick, there is a season ticket waiting list. You really need to fact check before you post, man.

I kind of agree but there are a LOT more seats to fill at The Coliseum. I get where Tony et. al. are coming from. So I really hope it's JUST my Rams!

 love that show.

Jerome Bettis is a POS for his comments on SportsCenter. The Rams need to win in order to survive in LA? LA has endured irrelevance from the Kings and especially the Clippers and yet they're still here and neither team even had a rumor of leaving the city. LA loves a winner. Yeah, so does everybody else, idiot.
