St Louis fans bash us, so we bash them back. **** them, really.

You probably already explained it but I missed it. Why are you such a debbie downer with this? Are you sticking with your current NFL team?

I'm not seeing them bash us but I'm sure if you search twitter hard enough you can find someone saying something stupid. But I wouldn't paint an entire town with the comments of a couple idiots.

My current team is the Chargers but if they move up here I'll probably stop supporting them. It just doesn't feel right to me. They belong in San Diego.

As far as the Rams go, I was a fan way back in the Coliseum days. When they moved to Anaheim my support dwindled a bit and by their last few years here under Georgia, I pretty much was done with them. I wasn't a big NFL fan anyway so I really didn't care at that point. So when they left, I was meh at at best about it.

I think they've been gone too long for me to get excited about them now. Also, I generally am disgusted at the NFL, the way they've used LA to extort money from other cities, and just generally how they conduct their business. I certainly have no love or trust for billionaire a-holes like Kroenke. Will anybody really be surprised if we hear move/stadium rumors 10-15 years down the road?

I want to add my vote for the original blue and white colors. My understanding was that the reason they went to the blue and orange in the 70's was because of the move to Orange County. All the more reason to go back to blue and white.

There you go. You already had your allegiance, that's why you're meh about this. As for me, I can't imagine rooting for a team that isn't based in LA. That's why I was never an NFL fan until a couple of days ago. And I'm pretty sure the most expensive stadium will last more than 10 years...

I've seen enough Stl fans bash us on this board alone. That's enough for me to bash them back.

First of all, it was blue and gold, not blue and orange.

Secondly, the Rams went to blue and gold beginning the 1973 season, six years before they moved from the Coliseum.

I read somewhere where they went from blue and gold to blue and white in 1964 because they felt the navy blue and white would look much better on black and white televisions, and they were right. When more and more households bought color TVs, they went back to blue and gold.

Take a look at this graphic:

Sorry if offend you, but it's true.

Have you ever been to a Raiders game in the Coliseum? I went to a few, but after all the fights and the one guy ending up in a coma in a Raiders/Steelers game I attended in 1990, that was it for me. Raider fans are the ****ing worst. I was at that game with a friend who is a die-hard Steelers fan, and all I remember is several ****-head Raiders fans wanting to fight both of us. I got purposely bumped hard by a couple of real a-holes, definitely trying to stir something up. I couldn't afford to fight some POS at the time because I held a national security clearance, and if I lost that, I lose my job. So I just had to take it, as much as I wanted to mop up the floor with that POS.

Going to a Raider game at the Coliseum was like participating in an open prison.

I used to go a fair bit. No argument from me that away fans should not have to fear their safety. Lots of failures involved in all those incidents. I do think your painting with a very broad brush with regards to the typical raider fan, however. Just like 99.9% of dodger fans aren't going to put you in a coma.

I think it would be best to take the high road and ignore the angry St. Louis fans. Of course they're angry. Who cares if they're bashing LA fans, really. Let them be. We got our team back. That should overshadow all this petty bickering.

I remember what happened 21 years ago. It's like history repeating itself, with the fans' roles switched. I think it's important to note that St. Louis fans won't go graciously. I haven't yet posted the lawsuit for merchandise, because on it's face, it's a frivolous lawsuit. I think the Rams fans in L.A. filed a lawsuit, but it wasn't for merchandise. That lawsuit went nowhere too, of course.

Interesting question, with teams moving and fan support etc.

If the Kings moved to, let's say, Houston would you still support the team?

Interesting (well, for me anyway) to note the disparity in responses between our out-of-region fans vs. our local fans.

As for me: I'd wouldn't say I'd "hate" (in the literal meaning of the word) the team, but I'd essentially stop caring about their success, and would in-fact probably take some satisfaction if/when they started to suck (this kinda' makes me hope they move in about five years, ha. Kidding).

I can't see myself becoming a Ducks or Sharks fan (despite the fact that my 3 year old loves ducks, and would actually probably really like "family-friendly" atmosphere at The Pond; go figure); I'd probably just very casually follow the NHL, and then wait for a new team to arrive/arise in LA, and throw my support fully behind that organization.

P.S. I agree with those that say this whole scenario is moot (thank God); at least, so long as the Kings are playing in the same building that they own...

This is really exciting for me. I'm 24 years old, so I didn't have a local NFL team to root for when I was growing up. I jumped on the Patriots bandwagon because of Brady and I also had a soft spot for the Texans because of Brian Cushing. My buddies around my age are fans of different teams. Mostly Cowboys, Eagles, and Steelers. I asked them all if they're going to make the switch and most of them said no, but that they will root for the Rams when they're not playing their team. I'm not ashamed to say I'm making the switch, I don't give a ****. There was never really any passion for me when it came to NFL. It was all mostly fantasy football and entertainment of course. So yea, LA Rams fan since 2016! Well that's if the Raiders don't come here. Sorry guys, but I'm joining the thugs if the Raiders do end up in LA.

which is really too bad, because watching a game in Anaheim Stadium was MUCH better than the Coliseum.

It wasn't even close.

Well, I only went to a few games total so the live experience wasn't a big factor for me. I don't remember Anaheim Stadium being significantly different than the Coliseum for football but it was a long time ago.

I do remember that converting the Big A for football ruined it as a baseball stadium, however.

Was anyone at the press conference? The only pictures I've seen are real tight shots of a handful of fans. Would be encouraging to see big crowds.

Sorry, but I want a change in the uniforms and colors that says these are the Los Angeles Rams by next season.

Back to the blue and white, please.

I wonder if there's some deadline they would have had to have met this last season for new colors/uniforms etc. Maybe they're only allowed to update the name at this point until they get proper approval. Just a thought. I don't know how the nfl works with those things.

For those angry about the uniform, it will change in 2 years

Source

Changing uniforms in the NFL has become a lengthy and exhaustive process. According to the league offices, it essentially takes two years to make the switch once the request from the team is submitted. So if the Eagles today declared they wanted their primary uniforms to be Kelly Green, it wouldn’t actually come to pass until the 2015 season under the current policy.

The NFL does a lot of homework before giving its stamp of approval. They exchange design ideas with the team; test the uniform on the field, inspecting how it looks from every seat in the stadium (both indoors and out, at night and during the day), and how it looks on camera; they want to see how it would appear in stores, and get player feedback.
