I haven’t really found that I dislike or favor any of the main spots vs the others. They all have their pros and cons.

Hattie’s Shut the Cluck Up did rearrange my entire insides though I think.

This is big. A Vandy neuro scientist appears to have discovered fraud in the works that have been the bible of Alzheimers research for the last 16 years. Literally billions of dollars spent and years of people's careers may all have been a sham

Do you have any idea what the penalty might be for Lesne? It might be in the article but I'll admit I only read about the first half of it. I imagine the punishment will not fit the ultimate impact of the crime if fabrication is proven.

Well the end of his career for one thing. Guess the government could go after him for fraud being he took tax payer money.

I really couldn't care less about the guy's career. The ripple he caused is far more damaging than what most people get thrown into prison for doing.

It goes without saying that the above is of course based on an assumption that these claims of fraud are true.

Proving this to the point of criminal or even civil liability will be difficult short of a confession. It's pretty esoteric even though its extremely consequential.

Not shocked, been going on in sports med for 20 years. Publish or Perish is killing us.

I didn't join here til the date listed. I was on the NP boards from fall of 2002 so I'm coming up on 20 years for contributing to a Preds board of some variety, though. I'd been reading peoples posts for probably 3 years before I actually joined, though, going back to the ESPN boards. I felt like a lot of you were old friends when I finally met you! I posted on the OLD Eklund boards (pre Hockeybuzz!) as ISaki and had a completely different personality from NP boards--it was actually me, not Adzy the tart, ha! I think it was Blues Convert who couldn't believe it was me. Pretty sure Trigg and Brady told me about these boards but I didn't really participate much til NP shut down.

I remember on the NP boards they basically wiped the post counts of anyone who was on the boards right after a very contentious game vs Calgary. It was either the one where Barry Trotz would have killed their coach if he could have climbed the glass or the goalie fight game. But I had gone on to bed and wasn't on for all the fighting so I ended up keeping my post count and others were wiped to zero. That huge post count was actually embarrassing, meant I wasn't there for all the fun.

I started on espn and moved to NP around 2003 or so. That place was probably about 70% social and 30% hockey. Steve invited me to these boards in 2007 and I joined but back then this was the place for "serious" hockey talk only so I didnt post here much, just read what the smart guys would say and tried to learn. So I guess I'm about due for a 15 year anniversary here

Y'all talking about 20 years and the like scare me; that kind of predates my taking any real notice of the NHL's existence. (I mean, I vaguely was aware of the Jackets' existence, but didn't really pay any attention). It wasn't until roughly after the lockout that I was noticing at all. And I don't exactly last on message boards, generally; every other time I'd spend time on a message board about a common hobby it'd quickly fade after a couple of months or so. But then... all this happened. :scared:

I blame George Matthews, @BigFatCat999, and the opportunity to spite Jim Balsillie.

IT'S ALL MY FAULT! IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!!!!!

I had been on the NP boards before the conversion but didn't say much. Later on I did and was there until the boards died so I had to come here. I had been to several games before then but didn't really get into it until I bought season tickets. That just happened to be the first year we made the playoffs.

I started on the old CNN boards, moved the the ESPN boards and here.

The Farmington days were probably some of my favorites.

I can be a bit of a dick, but you guys seem to put up with it, so I've stuck around.
Ah, Farmington was wondrous. I loved both the banter and going out there.

I may have just realized that there isn't even a Hockey's Future website anymore? Is that true? I guess I've just linked direct to the boards for so many years I never noticed the front end that used to actually be about prospects disappeared?
