Brad Hand and Michael Brantley next? Let's do this thing

Brantley is already signed just not announced yet. Some posters were stating that we should sign Brantley first then make a deal. It will happen the other way around. Brantley is already signed just not announced. They will now seek return on one of their OF to fill other positions and then announce the signing of Brantley. Announcing it first provides to benefit or leverage to the Jays in any prospective deals.

With the addition of those bullpen arms, you have to wonder if Yamaguchi or Roark are going to get tossed into a trade now. Or if they will leverage some of their bullpen arms to get help elsewhere.

I assume the UFA options in the infield did not work out so now they will turn to trades.

It's refreshing to see the Jays/Rogers show that they can be a big market club and flex their money. I feel like the Jays/Rogers could bring up the payroll to around 180-200 million if they really wanted to in the coming years.

Regardless with the team rapidly getting better, it would be ideal to shed Roark's and Grichuk's salary off the roster. That alone would free up $22 million.

Jays would have extra parts in the OF, C, and Bullpen.

We seem prime for a quantity for quality trade.

There are still a bunch of good infield options on the market, so I still wouldn't be surprised to see a Semien or Gregorius deal.

If they can manage to trade for Bryant + Hendricks + sign Paxton

1. Springer
2. Biggio
3. Bichette
4. Vladdy Jr
5. Teo
6. Gurriel
7. Bryant
8. Brantley
9. Jansen

Good lord that offence

1. Ryu
2. Hendricks
3. Paxton
4. Pearson
5. Ray

If Paxton can stay healthy and Pearson delivers on the hype that is a pretty good 1-4.

i do think the most expendable players that we will try and move first should be . rourk grichuk along side mcguire probably espinosa might just be a money mover but you can always throw in prospects to add a bit of value

My sources are those that work in the Jays offices and I will leave it at that. The deal doesnt necessarily involve Grichuk moving out. Gurriel and Teo are options as well depending on the options to acquire.

The goal of this front office is to better balance the lineup now. It is very right handed specific. They were interested in Moustakas prior to him signing with the Reds. The goal at the time was to play him 2B when Guerrero was future at 3rd. Their views have changed and Guerrero is slotted to play 1B.

Adding 2 players like Brantley and Moustakas both LH hitters balances the lineup in a big way. The deal I am hearing is Teo, Roark, Zeuch, Martinez for Gray and Moustakas. The reasoning to keep Grichuk is because of his versatility to play all 3 OF spots.

Take it for what its worth. But thats what I am hearing
I’d be happy with that deal. Sucks to my avatar but that would help out lineup quite a bit. Roark being in likely is the addition of Martinez.
