Mets getting McCann means the Realmuto to the Jays possibility a bit more likely, lets go!!! (although I'd hate to give up on Jansen before his breakout)

These big moves should go down at MLB Winter Meetings

Phillies actually shop Zack Wheeler, and trade him for a young, controllable player: Lost in the whirlwind of an old-fashioned quarterback controversy in Philadelphia: Rumors about its No. 2 starter. Team owner came out with a harsh rebuke of ESPN’s report, but that doesn’t mean the idea is crazy. Sure, the symbol is bad and gives off a feeling of major payroll slashing. But if, say, the White Sox offered Andrew Vaughn or the Blue Jays offered Austin Martin, a deal would be smart for Philadelphia.

I saw this craziness, so you do too.

Left coast
this is what I’m wondering also. Any idea who could be playing up here?

I saw this tweeted from Scott Mitchell.

Van Canadians going from short-season Northwest League to High-A is exciting if I’m a BC baseball fan. They’ll see every elite prospect in the system and will now roll from April to September.

hmm ya what’s high level and low level a ball? Did the jays have these levels before or is it new? Would be great to see higher level ball in Vancouver.
He’s they had them before. We are losing two teams in this. Low A and high A ball have always been around

Too bad about Lansing and to a lesser extent Bluefield. Less places for all these kids to play

It's 2 levels higher, from short A to A+. A+ is usually where they start rehab so it's interesting it was promoted that high

I wouldn't be surprised if they continue to send rehabbing players to Dunedin, even though it'll be a level lower, because all of their high-end facilities are there and they avoid the time change between Toronto and Vancouver.

It's almost impossible to say who will be there at this point because we don't know how they'll treat the prospects after having no season in 2020. Do they just promote most of them one level ahead of where they were in 2019, or do they bump them up another level based on how they progressed off the field in 2020? It's a weird one.

Notable players who probably would have started there in 2020: Otto Lopez, Gabriel Moreno, Eric Pardinho (until the injury, obviously)
Players in Low-A Vancouver in 2019 who would have been in A-ball in 2020: Alek Manoah, Adam Kloffenstein, Will Robertson (was he officially included in one of the deadline deals? I can't remember.)

Seeing guys like Manoah getting promoted from Low-A Vancouver to High-A Vancouver would be kinda fun.

doubt this guy is legit but still...

Yes call the Mets they are willing to pay top dollar for second tier free agents!!!

If this person held any merit why are the Mets going to sign McCann when they can have the best on the market in Realmuto? Especially when money is of no object to the Mets as everyone has been speculating.

Mets like always are a market setter. They will assist in a team like the Jays being able to sign Realmuto for less then he is asking because they have removed themselves as a contender for his services. Thank you Mets.

The Mets looking like they're out on Realmuto makes things very interesting. Looks like we might be bidding against a reunion in Philly, possibly the Tigers if they start spending ever again.

Seems like some random dipshit Mets fan to me. He has the Mets signing McCann, Springer, Turner, and Bauer.

Yes the Mets will sign players but like the McCann signing it will translate into Schwarber instead of Springer, Fraser instead of Turner and Tanaka instead of Bauer. Book it.

Philly isnt spending they are cutting. And the Jays cannot even be put up against the Tigers. If Realmuto wants to win he will sign in Toronto as long as $$$ are close or better

Looking at his tweets, he thinks we need to give up Gurriel, Groshans, Woods-Richardson, Borucki, Adams and Murray for Lindor and Plesac.

I am not sure what is worse, that tweet or the comments...

Yeah the guy is a f***ing knob lol

Has zero idea what he is talking about. But I would think the border and covid issues are not helping us, terrible timing.
