From all accounts, the Jays will have a CHANCE to talk extensions with Dickey and his agent. Nothing is certain. Meaning, you could be giving up our best prospect and our best pitching prospect for a 1 year rental. That doesn't sit well with me unless we are getting some good value back. The key to every good trade is to have a win-win situation for both teams.

Theres no way AA would trade all thats being reported without knowing first hand a extension would happen.

Do not want. Still hoping talks break down. The upgrade from having Romero as our #5 instead of Happ is not worth losing two top prospects. I wasn't even wholly convinced that the trade was worth it for TDA.

That's a better deal than we got for Halladay. Speaking of which, wonder if the Phillies would be willing to sell low on Halladay. Maybe we can gut the rest of our prospect depth after the Dickey trade.

Well Wilpon only forks money at Wright, so it shows how much their execs want to keep him. It's not a simple "add Wright", no matter how stealthy AA is.
