Where would Wright play? Second?
From all accounts, the Jays will have a CHANCE to talk extensions with Dickey and his agent. Nothing is certain. Meaning, you could be giving up our best prospect and our best pitching prospect for a 1 year rental. That doesn't sit well with me unless we are getting some good value back. The key to every good trade is to have a win-win situation for both teams.
Two other executives who have asked on Travis d'Arnaud this offseason were told flat-out no. Shows you how badly Toronto wants R.A. Dickey.
He's probably going to retire as a Met. No way he's included in this deal.
Also AA is acting like the girlfriend that John Farrell cheated on. After Farrell left him for another team, AA decided to get hotter
Jeff Passan @JeffPassan
When I mentioned David Wright I was kidding people.
I've learned not to doubt AA's trading ability.
"Mike Puma ?@NYPost_Mets
The source said Terry Collins was going to lobby his GM to get Anthony Gose in the deal, but not happening as of now."
LOL
THEY WANT GOSE + DARNO + SYND?!
If d'Arnaud, Syndegaard (#Bluejays Nos. 1, 3 prospects in BA) both in package then prospect #Mets will have to give up will be significant
Everyone will regret trading for Dickey two seasons from now.
Mike Puma is talking out of his ass now lol
I will seriously be surprised if Syndergaard is included in the deal, nevermind Gose.

3:15 pm: The Mets would send Dickey, Josh Thole, and another player to Toronto. Toronto would send Travis d’Arnaud, John Buck, and minor league pitchers Noah Syndergaard and Aaron Sanchez to the Mets (Puma, NY Post and McCullough, Star Ledger).
Things are getting wacky!
