Niese and Dickey have to be part of this if we're going to give up both of them.

Wouldn't be Niese. We'd have a 6man rotation at that point, unless a mlb starter is dealt.

If it's getting this big is there any chance we might get Murphy back? Would solve our 2nd base issue. I can't see it happening but this thing seems to be growing. I'll add he like Davis is a left handed bat with power.

I've been thinking about Murphy aswell. You could then potentially flip Boni for something of worth. A good prospect from the Braves system or something along those lines.

In other words.

Dickey, Thole and Wright to Jays for d'Arnaud, Buck, Syndergaard and another player

This is exciting and all, but if we trade BOTH D'Arnaud and Syndergaard..:help:

Why? this is what good teams do. Toronto sports fans have been conditioned to always look to the future. To always look for the next prospect. Good teams develop prospects and trade them for established big leaguers to take their shot. This is exactly what AA is and should be doing.

Also AA is acting like the girlfriend that John Farrell cheated on. After Farrell left him for another team, AA decided to get hotter

AA is going trade crazy..wow wtf is going on. He's trading every damn prospect we have now.

We're going for it this year and next. Those prospects aren't going to help at the MLB level in that time frame (except maybe d'Arnaud, but that isn't a sure thing until he actually plays in the majors). Plus, we have high picks in next year's draft with which to replace the traded prospects.

So to recap, Dickey, Thole and another player to Jays for d'Arnaud, Buck, Syndergaard and another player was on table this morning.

If Syndergaard and TDA are in the deal, this is a pretty awful deal IMO. It means we're giving up two prospects that were better than any of the ones we gave up in that blockbuster.

this is my thoughts exactly (well maybe other than hech>Syndergaard idk)

thats why you would think it would have to be bigger than just dickey and thole.

Its quite obvious this trade is only being made if Dickey is extended.

From all accounts, the Jays will have a CHANCE to talk extensions with Dickey and his agent. Nothing is certain. Meaning, you could be giving up our best prospect and our best pitching prospect for a 1 year rental. That doesn't sit well with me unless we are getting some good value back. The key to every good trade is to have a win-win situation for both teams.

He just signed for a bajillion dollars for a billion years, is it really smart to have him as a DH?

If you take a look at a lineup with him and Dickey in it, it's pretty scary. The top 6 could basically all hit 25-30 HRs with a .270 average.
