No it doesn't.

If we move Randal, we either need to shed significant money or get someone who is a clear upgrade.

Didi costs more this year (0 vs 10.4 next) but is worse than Biggio and Espinal.

I still think we can do a lot better. For example, if Cincy is truly looking to shed payroll, I would buy Votto off them (with Grichuk being required to be in the deal)
Now that I've posted this, I just looked a little more around and a team like Texas would likely pay for a Grichuk (its an awful market).

I just posted about if the Phillies might be interested in him as the market if pretty thin and they apparently are looking for two outfielders.

I miss Rowdy's personality. The rest? Not so much lol.

That being said he seems like a really good guy so I wish him nothing but the best and hope he can cut himself out a full time spot for the Brewers. (I imagine having the DH full time in both leagues will make it easier)

That's a great move for the Reds imo as Grays 32 and has been trending down, Twins makes no sense as they seem in the middle of a retool. Shame Minneapolis is such a shitty city as they have a great park but if I was a player with a family no way I'd want to stay there longterm which is a factor in Berrios imo

Not a great move for the Twins to trade Petty when you could just buy arms, but they got a great arm back in Peguero. There is a possibility they got Gray to help them now and Peguero could be just as good as Petty.

Still rather keep Petty and pay for an arm but too late for that.

Top 10 prospect for a good, but inconsistent starter who probably won't move the needle for them competing?

That doesn't seem particularly smart. The Twins seem like they're stuck between wanting to go for it (Buxton contract, this move) and retooling (moving out an established roster player like Garver for a younger player)

Not really sure what to make of it. My first assumption is the 6th playoff spot is enticing teams to take a run at it when they otherwise wouldn't have a shot. That and the AL Central kinda sucks with Chicago being the only decent team.
