Like the Bellinger deal for the Cubs. Low risk for a team probably still a year away from seriously competing and in theory its a low pressure environment for him to try and find his form.

Left handed bat with a career .970 OPS in Japan. Hits the ball hard (by NPB standards), walks a boatload as well. Only problem is his defense is allegedly trash to the point he's bad even in the corners and likely projects more of a DH so uhhhhhhh welcome to Philly?
I'm not too concerned yet. Bellinger was like a plan b, or maybe even c at best. Still plenty of names out there via signing or trade (which i think is the more likely option)
Edit: over the last three seasons Yoshida has 213 walks and 96 strikeouts. Should be interesting to see what kind of market develops around him.
