I don't know, I don't have a crystal ball. I prefer to evaluate based on things that can be measured and seen right now, and not made up scenarios or things that can't be measured.
I would assume his +/- would go up slightly. Either way that would still leave him in the same range anyway of the dman I listed for points only difference is their +/- would be more even.
He's a pretty good defenseman, but if he was elite like a lot of people on here seem to think he would have made Sweden's Olympic team last year. He's definitely not top 10 in the league, maybe not even top 20.
Wouldn't take him on the Sens for free. OEL and Karlsson would make an awful pairing...
That's not the point. I am not saying he isn't a very good young player, but fans on here are claiming he is a #1 right now, and even some say an elite one.
In what other way can you measure him? Can I claim Jake Gardiner is a top 5 dman and when his points and +/- don't add up claim you obviously don't watch him and his team sucks?
He is over rated in the sense he gets way more credit than he deserves as a player.
If Cody Franson can play the minutes that OEL does and as effectively as OEL does I'll eat a shoe.
Might as well just rename this thread "Not about the Leafs and plus/minus...just kidding."
I welcome anyone who can give proof/something measurable to disprove what I have said in the OP.
he does pal
OEL is better than any Dman on the Leafs and will be for the next 10+ years I bet.
