so like the same binding agreement they signed with red rock? or the one they signed in fremont? seen this episode a few times already

and yeah, good luck building a f***ing ballpark on the strip. i was there a couple months back and it took 20 minutes just to uber from the mirage to t-mobile arena. now imagine when there's an A's game and a raiders game on the same day? lol
But they're going to have a magic tube for all of the fans' Teslas.

To be fair that could only really happen on 3 possible days and the two leagues only overlap for two months at the absolute max.

This whole thing is a last minute Hail Mary in an attempt to get something secured before their revenue welfare runs out in January. They’re rushing the bill because legislators will be out of session soon.

From everything I’ve been reading not too many people want almost 400 million of public funds used on the A’s when they’re still on the hook for the Raiders. Hope the people voting on this think of their constituents’ best interests instead of a billionaire’s.

It was annoying listening to the Braves broadcast crew talk about the small crowds without mentioning the reasoning behind them.

I am sure there is a directive out not to criticize Fisher but god was it galling

Just about every other visiting team has brought up Fisher. The Braves crew probably just didn’t want to get too involved.

Don't let this distract you from the fact Vegas managed to build 2 stadiums for teams they didn't even have and are discussing a 3rd before the Rays could even get 1 built for themselves

Special counsel is about to take place in an half hour since they couldn’t pass the bill through legislation.

Let’s see if the Vegas mayor cares more about funding for education and the wants and needs of his constituents, and less about a legacy of other cities sports teams.

nevada ranked as the 2nd least educated state a couple years back, so i think it's safe to assume education won't be a priority here

Kaval has showed up, this is a pretty good thread going where the A's are consistently being taken apart, including a tacit admission that the A's are not going to cover any shortfalls if the deal loses money.

This is a hilariously bad deal the A's are trying to get. I don't know the history of stadium deals, but this is a lmao-fest going on. It's obvious once the A's announced that they were focused on only talking to Vegas, that they expected Vegas to do Vegas and roll out the red carpet, and bring out the dancers, and everything else to put on a show for the next shiny new toy.

Oops.

The A's are like another drunk tourist from California who has shown up after a divorce looking for a little action, but without a major bankroll. And is being welcomed about the same.

We'd probably jump on any MLB team except the Athletics, but a cheapskate owner can just keep moving on past.

In the last month I saw an A's fan run around the bases pre-game, no one cared, or tried to stop him, and he was allowed to return to his seat in the stands.
