Prediction:

NYR: 1
ARZ: 5
That's not taken as an insult to Pavelec. We could put Patrick Roy in his prime in on Thursday night and we won't win that one. This has disaster written all over it.

*****DISCLAIMER:***** Not that I'm hoping to be right here, just Rangers' predictable history in play.

I don't know anything about prospect so I kept hearing the name "Dahlin." That got me excited since this team is trash and hey who knows, maybe a lottery pick. But... then I see he's a d-man. BOO! I want a franchise center!

Really? Picking a center of Dahlin would be stupid. We can trade McDonagh for a center when we draft Dahlin.

Picking Veleno over Dahlin would be the same as picking Krejci over Karlsson. Sure, Krejci is nice, but Karlsson is so much better. Dahlin is head and shoulders above anyone else in this draft class.

I agree that not picking Dahlin if a team had the chance would be a horrible decision, but I still dint know if he’s a tank inducing player; however, the Rangers have already done a good job tanking while trying NOT TO tank, so if he’s available, grab him.

He is absolutely tank worthy. And he would be getting way more hype if he were a good ole Canadian boy instead of Swedish.

Oh ok makes sense. I was hoping for a tank and 50 goal scoring center lol

I wouldn't intentionally tank for a defenseman.

My hope for the immediate future isn't necessarily a tank. It's realizing this roster isn't a Cup contender this year or next, instead is the least skilled and most devoid of young high end talent in the league.

So you trade some pieces like McDonagh and Zuccarello who might be gone by the 2019 season anyway...

It's moreso insuring one of the worst teams in the league remains that way and gets some much needed high end young talent. Calling the Rangers the worst team in the league might be harsh, but if you're not a playoff team, you might as well get something out of it.

I agree with you in regard to stocking talent.

I'm saying that when I think of intentional tanks, I think of the Penguins with Mario Lemieux, or any other draft in a year the Penguins aren't doing well and their fans deserted them.

Nash has one point through first 10 games. On pace for 8 points this season. He earns a million a point!!!!!!!! (and I sarcastically typed 8 exclamation points). I could pick on others for poor play as well. It's getting late real early this year. Not sure if we just need to be patient, rather than blow things up. But it's really tough to watch these games in person. I would sell my tickets but nobody is buying....

AV saying after every game "everyone needs to be better" is the kind of stuff a coach on the hot seat starts to say.

Probably call up St. Patrick to scare out all the snakes who keep biting him that render him "snake bitten".

Well they aren't on the hot seat when they are at the press on conference at the parade and they said "we played well".

Maybe he should narc for his job, and when adoptive parent's rights supporter and advocate† Al Trautwig talk's to him, AV could scream "it's all Arniel's fault!" as a gasp settles the room.

so this wasn't actually written by a human being and is instead one of those markov chain generators right

I could live with this slow start if at least our young guys showed some good signs of progression. I had such high hopes for Skjei. I really thought he deserved to be listed among the Troubas, Lindholms, Provorov's etc. As the best young defensemen in the league.

AV has to go before permanent damage is done to he and Buchnevich, our only good young talent.

At least ADA and Chytil are far away from him in Hartford for the time being.

I thought pretty highly of JG, but he's way too slow to the punch here and is now as much to blame as AV.

Their play is unbelievably sloppy. So they either have tuned AV out, or his system/coaching is just not good, (or too complicated; same difference).

Maybe Arizona wants to tank too, and the game will be a hot potato match of throwing it away turning it into the greatest offensive spectacle witnessed in the history of the NHL.
So both teams basically play defense the same way they have been?
