Maybe in the opinions of rangers fans.
But certainly not mine, Schneider is a top prospect, Lundqvist is good, But is a full tier below
I don't know why, Lundkvist was considered the Rangers top prospect before the season, at least on D and there's really no reason for that to have changed. Maybe Schneider is a better fit for you guys as a more physical defenseman but in terms of value I don't see why Schneider would be more valuable

Schneider is more of an impact D.
His potential is tremendous, Which is why i feel rangers won’t trade him.
He is exactly what Vancouver needs, strong Physical, he has it all

eh it depends what u valur.

schneider will be better defensively and hitting wise, but i wouldnt expect a ton of offense from him.

lundkvist should develop into a good offensive dman, who is sound positionally but he isnt big so he will get pushed around some. Also has a laser of a shot and can run a pp.

again its all what u want/need. I dont really think value wise they are much different.

As for trades, i think the vancouver one is fair, though i actually would rather add kravtsov and remove the first if possible. I so believe he will be a solid top 6 forward, who could have elite potential if his head ever figures it out.

the arizona trade is brutal for the rangers.

We have Quinn Hughes and Jack Rathbone, we have no need for another offensive D.
We need a pure shut down guy, its more of a need

that makes sense.
I was more responding to those who say he is a tier lower than schneider.

i dont believe that for one second. They are just completely different players. I do think their value is extremely similar.

But just like Van the rangers would probably trade him first becuse we have fox running PP1, and we also have jones in the minors who can run PP2.

currently we have miller and trouba running pp2.

so he is more expendible to us. Especially since we dont have much size as dman.

Then why are Rangers fans so willing to move him, but Schneider is completely off the table?

It’s a solid offer for Chychrun. I’m not comfortable with the two best assets being wingers. But it’s good value. It’s a better fit for Arizona if you replace Othmann with Schneider.

Obviously, if I had my way, I’d say Kravtsov is the one who needs replaced with Schneider, and that Othmann should remain in there. But that’s a little greedy.

If you think replacing Othmann with Schneider is too much, you can “downgrade” Kravtsov to Berard, and I’d probably be okay with that.

Schneider, Jones, Berard, and 1st (with Nemeth as a dump) is pretty fair, I think.

Woah there buddy, neutral fan here but he's like #27 in scoring (#47 by PPG)...that's not even close to a top 15 forward (especially when you account for for trends/history/consistency). He's good, but it's his 2nd time as a PPG player
2nd time in 3 seasons. The outlier as a Canuck was during the COVID season. For the Canucks he's really only been very close to ppg over 3 seasons.

Because our defense goes poo poo in their own end, and Schneider as size to off-set what we have a luxury in - Fox, Jones, etc. Let's be honest, Nemeth isn't doing what we need.

Can't imagine that being the best offer for Chychrun, when rumors say the ask is Knight, Lundell ++ from FLA

I think the return for Miller would look something like that though
Florida will not give up that much. No way

Good news, that is what Lundkvist is. A top RHD prospect.
Prior to this season Lundkvist and Seider were widely known as the best RHD not yet in the NHL. Nothing that has transpired has lowered their value. Devil fans love to bash Ranger prospects to hide the fact that although Jack scores most nights, he also costs them games with his reckless and weak play. Debbies should stop denegrating our guys and focus on their own. Mercer is their best young player. Ty Smith and Jack are flawed big time and need alot of development time to be part of a future winner, just like Nils, KK and Laf. Close this thread.

  Between Miller and Chychrun you're basically adding $10,000,000 in caphits with little to no money going out. once Zibanejad and Foxes new contracts kick in you'll be over the cap entering the summer season. And you've roughly $4,500,000 in bonuses on top of it.

Some Rangers fans wanted to move Kreider for nothing in the offseason. Are we really going by what some think? In fact some Ranger fans still want Kreider on the 3rd line. They have a lot of fans that hate their players because they aren't perfect.
