Which is what, by the way?
Stockpile right wings looking to force their way to the Rangers?
I have it on good authority it involves a dart board and a chimpanzee.

“@DarrenDreger: Ryan Callahan's original ask of 8 years at $7.5 late last summer should be marked as the starting point for his New York departure.â€
****ing LOL at those numbers.
"we are getting an all world Center for at least two or three years before he declines" - said many when Rad Brichards was signed.
Just sayin'.....
Uh - we've been the dominant team for a majority of the season - outside of the last two games, and the first 10.
God, people can never just be happy. Let's at least see where this takes us.
I'm a little upset, Z.
I really do love MSL. One of my favorite players. He's also just under 40, and his contract expires at the end of next year. If it was straight up, I might be able to stomach it. But we turned from sellers to buyers, and used a rental as a chip. In no universe is that a good idea.
Sather had the best year of Rangers hockey in nearly 20 years, and then relapsed into his old addiction. A MSL who's only got a few years left, a Richards who's about to be bought out, Nash, who I don't think will ever win anything. I don't even mind Richards, actually.
Sell the future for an aging superstar. Sather found the only way to outdo himself. Sell the team captain, AND the future for the aging superstar.

This was not a win now team. This is a 6-10 seed team that got hot for one month or so. Yes we are better now, although I want to see who picks up the grunt work we lose in Cally, but this is not a cup contenting team.
This comes down to Dolan and the Knicks sucking and a brand new MSG that they spent a billion dollars on fixing up and possibly being empty from the begining of April until end of September!

i understand a trade kinda needed to be made, but MSL is at the end of his career. To me, unenlightened as i am, this smacks of the bone-head moves made in the late 90s and early 2000s....
He wasn't a reigning Hart winner or PPG player when we got him
If dominant you mean only being 1 point from being out of the top 8, then I agree.
Yeah he actually was, two seasons before he signed here.
Reigning Hart trophy winner??
