Poor shooting luck? He'll fit right in!!!Tarasenko is having a down year for counting numbers but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
First of all, the underlying numbers are showing poor shooting luck by his standards.
It also kept the price much lower versus if he were tearing it up.
Moving to a team more in the thick of things might be a nice reset for him. I was less inclined to buy that with Kane because the analytics tell us that Kane is just ass and has been for years. Not the case at all with Tarasenko.
Counting numbers aside, he has space-opening skill which we desperately need. It's going to help us even if he doesn't put up a ton of points.
Hughes is injured week to week. The time to strike is now.Whose clearly ahead of them?
Boston? Yup they're a wagon.
Carolina? They're good too though they've been a consistent 2 and out for a while now.
Toronto? Sure but replace the 2 and out with 1.
Tampa is still Tampa so if you want to throw them in there I'll buy it.
Carolina is the only team in our division in that group. Some may say NJ but I'd peep their analytics, they've been ass for a while now and thats a team with next to no experience and they're really small. That never plays in the spring.
if Motte came very cheap wouldn't mind him.I think we are done after this trade. Got the upgrades we needed.
The first round pick doesn't get us closer to top contender status, and likely wouldn't for several years. Sometimes those assets are better used in the present. This team could have--IMO should have--won the ECF last year. There's no reason with another tweak or two that we can't be back in that spot.Top 5 in odds for the Cup is about where I’d do it. Not sure they are even too 5 in the East.

I would happily give up Othmann for Meier , the problem is it would have cost even more (2 1sts) and then signing him would be impossible.Huge W imo. People upset at the Brett Howden/Libor Hajek late 1st are insane. Tank is a huge upgrade over Vesey in the top 6 even in a statistically down year, and Vesey gets to do his thing slotted down lower. Not to mention the upgrade over f***ing Harpur. I like the move a lot. Meier was 100% going to cost Othmann. And they still have Krav as an asset for the TDL. Yeah it'll probably suck when NJ lands Meier, but whatever. Hoping Tank lights it up here.
He's been horrible.Like I said before I recently saw Kane play. Looks like a shell of himself. Hip injury or not, he just didn’t look good. But like you said it hasn’t been just this year.
Glad we stayed away .

No ones fault - please remember the last deal we made with the BluesNow that the full Trade is announced, can the massive overactions get flushed and plunged?
Krav, Jones, Robertson, Othmann, Cuylle still here.
Imagine if we resigned Andrew Copp? Good gawd.
I'm gonna stare at this all day.Hopefully this replaces Trochek on pp1, i just found him and Kreider to be redundant on it
Exactly right. This is the key for me, and why I didn't want Kane.
