Believe that it's a full NTC in years 2-5, a limited NTC in years 6-7, and a NMC in all of 2-7.

(Yes, it's irritating that the NHL's nomenclature has essentially stratified into a convention where NTC refers to trades, but NMC refers to all other movement – demotion, expansion draft, etc. – but trades.)

Have nearly 25% of our cap locked into two guys. Happy with the acquisition and knew the extension would be between 7.5 and 8.

But are running out of wiggle room and really need to get out of those anchor D contracts.

I’m optimistic but also very cautious with having nearly 20 million locked into two players. Kreider is all but gone and will likely see Namestnikov gone and a buyout of Smith. Just hope it all works out.

Not an overpayment at all. Been saying for months now that Trouba will get 8 mill per or even north of that.
