It's staggering the amount of people who STILL don't look at contracts in terms of the percentage of the cap and not straight dollar amounts.

What was first liner dollars a few years ago is now 2nd liner dollars.
That's how this works when the cap increases every year.

It's not rocket science and yet people STILL seem to have a hard time grasping the concept.



For this deal, I was expecting 7.8m x 7 so I'm not going to whine about 200k extra a year. Fine deal. Just happy to have him locked up.

Either way, haters gunna hate. Trouba is a great addition, is only 25 years old, and is locked up through his prime. It's perfect for what this team needed and where they're currently at. On top of that, his payment structure and limited NMC in years 6&7 make it a move-able contract in the last 2 years.
