What are the odds he makes this team straight out of camp? It might be lesson time again, I hope they dont go down that road but it's possible.
Approximately 100.00%

Punishing him because he did something that was well within his right to do,only makes the club look bad.He wouldnt clear waivers either. What are the odds he makes this team straight out of camp? It might be lesson time again, I hope they dont go down that road but it's possible.

It would be really cool if ADA said he sped up his timeline up because of how well Fox played on wed.Good he signed...I imagine Adam fox playing so well put some pressure on him. I'm actually liking most of the makeup if this team LGR
And what was the Rangers winning percentage with him in the lineup? How long did Avery last in New York?
He and Kreider at or before the deadline for????
I do postPlease, ADA would definitely post if he read these boards
No, you don't understand. He struggled to come to grips with reality and Range.... Gorton won.I find it extremely hilarious that a bunch of people on these boards are attacking a 23 year old for attempting to create a bit of leverage for himself in a negotiation. It didn't work out. Gorton called his teams bluff. This doesn't mean he's a bad kid or unintelligent. His team had a plan in place, they played their hand and folded. It happens.
We don't know yet. But I'm saying that the gold out maybe was more about the way the contract is structured than the actual AAV. 1-way contract for instance, or a higher guaranteed AHL salary if it's a 2-way deal. Or maybe part of it being a signing bonus.
Since this is a regular SPC and not an ELC, a lot of the variables can be negotiated
Realistically, there are no variables. I'm pretty sure that bonuses are not allowed on a RFA contract and since ADA is subject to waivers it really doesn't matter what his AHL salary would be--he's not going to end up in the minors.

Wanting trouba to be the trigger man on a PP featuring Zibanejad, Kakko, and Panarin might be the dumbest idea ever....
no offense
My world’s smallest violin plays for Tony and his $925,000 salary
100%
He would never clear waivers
Avery was turning into a Claude lemeuix type and then he went ‘diva’The sad thing is that it's almost too easy to forget that he was once a player on the cusp of carving out a niche where he could also pop in 20 goals and 50 points on an annual basis.
Obviously everyone remembers the antics, but he was not slouch as a player either.
That’s why you hear everyone saying it’s not gonna end well and it’s a headache. He’s gonna be traded, but the antics he’s pulled leads me (at least) to believe he’s gonna push for a trade next off-season and ala trouba use the ‘don’t trade for me cuz I won’t sign easy or early’ to end up in philly or some other city of his choosing. And that’s gonna hurt the return even if he has a great season and it’s gonna be pulling teeth to get the other team to even offer a reasonable contract. And the rest of the NHL is gonna love it bc I’m sure they don’t like the way the rangers used their nyc advantange to secure a couple players this summerI'll say this much:
While everyone is hoping for a big year from ADA, I also think the end result could be a difficult negotiation process next summer.
I’d rather have an excellent passer than someone with a better slap shot.So... ideally you want your PP1 point man to have a lousy shot...?
That Zubov guy was a pretty good point man despite playing with some pretty talented forwards...
And all Trouba has to shown for his big point shot is 6 career power play goals (3 last year)I do actually prefer the PP1 point man to either have a bad shot or a good shot and choose not to use it much. Slapshots from the point are low percentage chances and PP that structure around them generally aren’t very good.
I see we’ve turned back to the he called a kid a ****** portion of the ADA debate.. always fun
