1. Dolan did go too far AFTER the Oakley incident.
That said....
2. Oakley has lived an entire lifetime of being the guy that thinks he can get away with everything and was in the wrong that night.
3. Whatever my opinion is of Dolan (can't stand him), there's a TON of explayers that completely love Dolan and he has taken care of alot of players after their playing days were over.

Carp has his article up, and he mentions that if Dolan brings in a president to replace JD, there is zero reason to expect the new president to bring in their guy as GM

My sentiments exactly. Dolan is the type of guy who if his band is playing a small club and a woman yells sell the Knicks, he immediately has security escort her out the club.
This story totally seems like never take sides against the family which is what JD and Gorton did if it’s true that they let it be known behind the scenes that they didn’t issue the statement and don’t approve of it.
Im more worried about messier as a coach.
He’s leaking/hinting that’s the job he wants.
It will last as long as the players don't get worn out from Thibs, who should be a LOCK for coach of the year.
