Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Anyone who thinks the childish foolish statement put out last night paired with the team having about as much testosterone as a girls tee ball team had nothing to do with this is a buffoon. Time to get rid of quinn and build a real team now

It is, but it's Dolan. I was proud of JD and Gorton yesterday and if they weren't in support of that statement I'm very disappointed. Dolan will be Dolan.
I honestly couldn’t even start to care about that statement compared to derailing the entire front office without any reasonable explanation

Big difference between thinking he doesn't belong on this team and hating him.

You're obsessed with him and literally bring him up in every GDT and every thread on here. You consistently make topics that have nothing to do with him about him. It's really weird.
There are many people who foam at the mouth the second his name is mentioned, when he was playing for us the Rangers could post a pic of him and his mother and there'd be countless accounts replying "f*** TONY DEANGELO" "EW" "RACIST BIGOT POS" etcetcetc and if you read their bios it is abundantly clear why they hate him. I don't like Trouba and didn't like JT Miller but you'd never see me treating our players that way

I'm increasingly buying the fan theory from the main boards that Dolan was behind the tweet, JD and JG disapproved, and so they got the can.

It's the only thing that really makes sense if the tweet remains up. It also fits with reporters saying JG and JD distanced themselves from the statement.

If that's true, I feel a lot better about this whole thing.
It's not a fan theory, it's what Frank Seravelli posted.

But then Dreger says it's performance related and has nothing to do with the statement.

Then someone else kind of expands on Dregers statement and says that Dolan wanted Gorton gone, JD said if he leaves then I leave, and now they're both gone.

For me personally, I wouldn't be so upset if it were almost any other owner. It's James Dolan though. So now we have to worry he'll get his hands in the Rangers business and do something stupid. If that weren't a concern, I wouldn't be so damn nervous about the whole situation. I have a terrible feeling they'll make a really dumb trade in the offseason.

Dolan, Parros, Messier, Bettman, Drury, Wilson, Colton Orr will all be attendance at the Garden today for WWE Friday Night Sma.... errr the Rangers hockey game. GET YOUR TICKETS TODAY!

I personally miss what ADA brought to the ice and rue the fact we have basically lost him for nothing. It sticks in my craw. That said, I take what @Edge and others have said very seriously. I don’t want a bad guy - for lack of a better term - on the team. But if he’s such a bad guy, why not trade him sooner? Why give him the deal. Sounds like awful management, in that case. And maybe that gaffe is a bigger deal than we assumed. I don’t know, just spitballing.

The fact that I listened to Kay because of this has me so infuriated.

Kay is a POS wannabe tough guy.

Lagreca is a cuck company man.

And don't get me even started on that weasel Rosenberg, who has no business in sports radio.

stopped listening to these buffoons years ago

Every single time you posted about JT Miller and "Tuba" is a diss. Pot calling Kettle here. But it's pretty on brand for you anyway.

Much of this rings true but...the timing...I just don’t get it. If it was something coming down the pike, was the statement-distancing just the catalyst? Was this statement the beginning and the end? So interesting. What does this mean for the team going forward? Is this good or bad for Quinn?
I can't piece it all together either. There's a major piece of the puzzle missing in this story still, maybe 2 or 3 pieces.

If it's performance based, why not wait until the end of the season next week? Why fire JD who has only been here for 1.5 years? Why not pin it on Quinn, who was a Gorton hire and who ultimately is responsible for on-ice performance? Why not recognize the strides the team has made in the last 3 years and see the trend is going up? I have more questions, but I think I've made my point...

What's even more concerning is, if it's not really performance driven, then there are straight lies being leaked to the media to cover the real reason. And if it is performance driven, the tidbits from Brooks's article about JD and JG preaching patience and Dolan not wanting to abide doesn't bode well for the direction of the team either.

I think it had to have played a role. It's poor management, if you knew the guy was a ticking time bomb, and was causing problems in the locker room why the hell would you even sign him to a multi-year deal?

I can't imagine Dolan was too thrilled to be flushing more millions down the drain as the Rangers sent one of their better players home for the season. Add on top of that the other buyouts, one for the face of their franchise. One for Shattenkirk 2 years after giving him a big contract and it adds up.
How about the fact that 3 years ago with 2 first round picks they chose LA and FC and 3 years later we have basically gotten squat for that. By Year 3 these picks should have been a proven foundation for this team and one is gone and the other is still a question mark.

I can't handle this drama. Now my butt is going to be clenched for months worried Laf and Kakko are going to be traded.

Get ready, we are moving both those guys for a big time package that has superstar Evgeni Malkin joining here.

Trading Zuccarello who's having the best season of his career this year, on pace for 70+ points. And Gorton let him go for basically nothing, a gamble deal that failed. I think Zucc would've been better value for the Trouba money, Dolan would probably agree...

Davey get back in your f***ing hole
