Pionk was a force back there. Gonna miss the hell outta him.
Hey, but now you don’t have a choice but to root for him to prove you wrong.
They could never take him for Skjei for cap reasons. Pionk makes a pittance.
You think he signs long term?I still have my doubts about Trouba as the number one guy who can carry a team in this landscape.
Having said that, you really can’t do better than the price they paid.
I think I've mentioned this before, but I see him as the #2 to a #1 soon to come on the left side.I still have my doubts about Trouba as the number one guy who can carry a team in this landscape.

This is exactly how I feel about this. Maybe the front office feels like they've got enough coming up the next few years that it can be D by committee, or that one of them will supersede Trouba and be the #1

Seems a bit strange Winnipeg didn't attach any conditions to him re-signing, and they wouldn't allow us to talk to Overhardt before the deal
lmfao. all the asinine score board watching for the OV position of the Winnipeg pick has paid off. 25th/26th OV or later and this likely doesn't get done without an extra mid round pick. We did it guys!
Yeah the only thing I'm concerned about is the price is so low because Trouba is going to go UFA and has no desire to sign long term right now
Honestly that would make sense
Unless the Rangers come through here and give him an offer he can't refuse, which could get expensive. But regardless, you would assume they can at least re-coup about the same value for him as a rental next Feb
Id like to thank myself.lmfao. all the asinine score board watching for the OV position of the Winnipeg pick has paid off. 25th/26th OV or later and this likely doesn't get done without an extra mid round pick. We did it guys!
Now watch us get a higher first round pick for Kreider than we just gave up for Trouba.
Great deal. We got a guy who should be worth a McDonagh return for much, much less.
I think I've mentioned this before, but I see him as the #2 to a #1 soon to come on the left side.
Wow...great post. They add a Top pairing right handed D, they have the Number 1 Center entering his prime, they have Kreider as an asset, they're going to get one of Hughes or Kakko, and they have a really deep prospect pool to replenish the roster as their bad contracts expire?
Man Gorton is building a helluva team.
Or Miller and Trouba for 50 minutes a nightMiller and Trouba for 25 minutes a night. Good luck battling that.![]()
