But, the hole on the team is in the top six and you yourself criticized Palmieri's performance on the top line.

Where did I criticize Palmieri's performance on the top line? He wasn't ever really on it. Eberle was glued to that spot and Komarov was the other first line winger. If I typed something about Palmieri being on the top line I probably just mean Eberle.

Sounds like some bullshit you’d hear on coach’s corner.

Funny how the guy who doesn’t impact the game much actually produced against Tampa the most physically engaged team NYI played and Palms put up his production against the weak skill teams, eh?

I'm just thankful we have people like you. Experts who can tell us everything we need to know about the team we've watched closely every game night over the past X years.

As I said originally, I think it is bizarre how much Isles fans discredit Eberle. Kind of reminds me of fellow Penguins fans dissing Kunitz from 14-15 - 16-17 for the exact same reasons. "He became a perimeter player" "He doesn't grind or hit" "blah blah blah."

You said his playoff production has seen a noticeable drop. Implying it's on a downward trend. Now you're just trolling.

I said Barzal got shutdown. He said when has Barzal got shutdown and I clarified that Barzal's regular season numbers are higher than his playoff numbers.

I'm not sure how I am trolling. Seems like Islanders fans are pissed because I like Jordan Eberle and you guys don't because he doesn't play the right way like Palmieri.

Without looking at the numbers, I don’t think Palmieri’s high danger chances dropped much against Tampa. I recall most of Vasilevskiy’s better saves came against Palmieri.

Honestly though it seems that you haven’t watched much of Eberle as an Islander outside of games against Pittsburgh.

The guy was putting up consistent 20 goal seasons while playing on one of the worst teams in the last decade. He's finally on a good team and I'm sure this will be a good contract.

I had no idea nonsense could be so highly concentrated.
This guys numerous cringe takes throughout HF are as bad as watching a certain leader falling asleep during press conferences or literally falling up the stairs.
Him and dekesfordays are the undisputed kings of cringe.

Eberle played with a healthy Barzal against TB. Palmieri played with a one-handed JGP against TB.

This was easily IMO the best pickup last trade deadline. Kyle was a beast for the Isles in the playoffs. You win cups with players like him in your lineup.

Oh, you're taking that out of context because you're not on our board but I did post those things, yes.

1) A single game, in the playoffs, doesn't mean it won't be successful over the course of a season. Palmieri didn't really play on the top line much at all and didn't have any time to build chemistry in that spot before that game. Being thrown on the top line for the first time in the playoffs in the middle of the semi-finals is a pretty tough spot to build chemistry.

2) The post is more about some of the posters on the board who constantly question every single decision management and the coaching staff make. Many said it was a "no brainer" to put Palmieri on the top line instead of Komarov and talked about how dumb Trotz was for not doing it. Trotz then does it and the team lost 8-0. My post was less about Palmieri specifically and more about how those people don't understand why Trotz does what he does, but there's a reason he's had the success he has and all of us here are just posting while toiling away at our 9-5 jobs.

I wouldn't be shocked if Palmieri doesn't even play on the top line like Eberle did, because like I said, he's more versatile and can play up and down the lineup with more success.

Wow, sounds like Palmieri should have won multiple cups by now. Perhaps even just one?

On the contrary, it seems like you DON’T win cups while Palmieri is in your lineup.

Hopefully you get playoff version Palms and not last year without the Devils version of him. Eberle must truly be bad if you think Palms does way more than him when they are not scoring .,,
I thought Palms was terrible when not scoring and that was most of the time
