18 to 20 is 2, 50 to 54 is 4. People are adding them togetherI’m gonna need clarification on the moving up 6 spots thing….20 - 18 is 2 spots
It's a total of 6 spots, but 2 of the spots are higher value than the other four spots.I’m gonna need clarification on the moving up 6 spots thing….20 - 18 is 2 spots
Good point. Trading from 18 to 15 might be easier than trading straight from 20 to 15.Or is it the first part of a 2-part deal where Chicago is trying to get up to the early teens?
I’d say bingoOr is it the first part of a 2-part deal where Chicago is trying to get up to the early teens?
And that may make sense.Hawks obviously have a tier break in the late teens
If I am not mistaken all offer sheet compensations must be your own original selectionsHow about this...
Isles getting ready to offer sheet necas (or some other rfa). They expect to lose their first, so don't give a care if it is 18 or 20, and now they have an extra second so they still get a pick in that round. Not a bad bit of business.
MarnerLou has some mystery trick of his sleeve that no one is expecting.
This is just a bit... weird.
Maybe another deal in the pipeline between the two? Otherwise this is odd from the Blackhawks perspective
Marner couldn’t handle Roy as a coach, he’ll demand too much from him. It’s going to be someone who will actually sign long term. He hasn’t made a deal for a quality roster piece that didn’t involve some form of an extension. Palmieri, Romanov, Pageau and Horvat all signed long term quickly after the Islanders obtaining them.Marner
that he'd be selected by the NYI or specifically by the team who holds the 19th OA pick??Only way it makes sense from Chicago is if they have somebody circled and had info that led them to believe he’d be gone by the time they picked.
Let’s not try and comment when the biggest signings in New Jersey are Sheldon Keefe, Kurtis MacDermid and the legalization of left hand turns (making jug handles extinct).Yeah a five year extension for Clutterbuck.
I dont recall saying they guarenteed anything. But if they have info that their guy was being picked at 18 or 19, they improved their odds at him.that he'd be selected by the NYI or specifically by the team who holds the 19th OA pick??
they moved up 2 spots from a late mid round selection to another late mid round selection. They've not guaranteed themselves shit at this point lol. They just threw away a 2nd rounder for no reason IMO.
there's absolutely no way they can predict with full certainty that the player they hope to select is infinitely more available at 18 as opposed to 20 IMO
Marner extending would be part of any deal with him, regardless of the team he goes to. Also I could see NYI being a good fit, a team with a leadership core already in place and he can just play.Marner couldn’t handle Roy as a coach, he’ll demand too much from him.
