I think this is one of the advantages of having the amount of draft capitol that the Hawks have, they can use it to guarantee they get who they want rather than hope. They must have a pretty clear list of who they want. It’s definitely possible but just weird to do this when teams are guaranteed to have different boards.
Love it we actually use the extra second to pick a prospect and not just to unload a contract lol
Lou has some mystery trick of his sleeve that no one is expecting.

What will be nuts is when it's draft day and the guy they wanted at 20 but felt they had a better chance at 18 gets taken at 15.If I am not mistaken, the Hawks just had their first round of scouting meetings. I am wondering if they maybe solidified their draft list a bit and wanted to make sure they get 2 guys on it.
This crossed my mind too.Could this be the 2nd part of a past deal, an implicit "thanks" for a previous trade?
Otherwise... why now ?
DamnHawks obviously have a tier break in the late teens
Why not. Move down 2 spots in the draft and get another 2nd round pick. Makes a lot of sense.I'm having a hard time understanding why the Islanders would do this

Islanders need picks. Good move
Chicago needs quality over quantity. They will try to go back up (some trade will be easier with picks 18, 34 and 50) ¿Minnesota?¿San jose?
