If there really is a fatigue issue happening, then I can see 4-5 guys getting a break in game 1. In game 1 I'd play Schultz and Nolan and Fraser and (hopefully) Regher. I'd sit whoever needs to sit. Maybe Richards or Mitchell or Greene or whoever is showing obvious signs of fatigue.

Game 2, however, would be back to business.

No one is sitting due to fatigue at this point. It's all hands on deck at this stage.

Only way you sit is through really poor play or injury. This isn't a time to rest up players.

NHL REDUCES CARCILLO'S SUSPENSION FROM 10 GAMES TO SIX

The New York Rangers will have Daniel Carcillo available for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final after the National Hockey League reduced his suspension from 10 games to six for making contact with an official.

Good, he will have a front row seat to watch the rangers get swept :D

Are you saying Crawford (a Stanley cup winning goalie) failed to make routine saves? There were some ugly goals as the result of deflections in gaem 7 but Crawford made some unreal saves as well.
Also IMO on paper the hawks have the best defensive depth in the league.
The rangers are going to quickly learn the Kings are not the habs. The kings had as many hits in one game as the Habs did all series.

That's because the "fast" Habs, could not catch the "faster" Rangers. Or, they were too beat up by the big bad Bruins, and wanted to take it easy.......they were the favorites you know. Or, both.

Historically we had issues touching the Hawks too but I don't think anyone would agree that was the case this year.

It absolutely wasn't the case this year, and you guys deserved to win, albeit I thought Chicago would win after winning games 5&6. They couldn't finish the comeback that we did vs Pitt. Still, the Rangers couldn't hold a candle to the Kings when it comes to coming back in a series.

My bad, I misread you--thought we were talking strictly about hits/physical play, which I expect of a lot this series :yo:

Damnit Burnside!!!

True but those teams like yourselves are in the Leastern Conference, right?;)

I mean, no offence but you guys spend the majority of the time playing some of the worst teams in the NHL. The Habs were a small fast skill team that you managed to find a way to end up facing a kid rookie goalie against when you played them.

This time around you guys are going to actually have your hands full facing your first real test against one of the top teams in the league. You guys have a legit shot at this thing but using the path you have taken to get here or bringing up other teams from your conference isn't going to do anything other than make most of us think meh. The only thing about the Rags that causes me any concern is Hank.

After that I like our chances.

Oh and also the Kings forwards and D aren't exactly slow. That and you guys aren't the fastest team in the league either. You have a few speed guys but then we have significantly more skill guys then you do so I have to think at best for you it is a wash.

We just played the best team in the league, bar none.

Second best team. Possibly third, depending on who you ask. Hawks don't get to lose and still be considered the best team.

I'm willing to bet and love the idea that Quick is going to shut everyone back up this series.

I'm with you on this. I think he will thrive in the competition with Lundy and bring his best.

Yeah, especially the prettiest one, Steve Levy. I can't believe she didn't pick the Kings!

You know damn well he drew the short straw. I'm sure it went something like this:

Barry: listen guys one of you HAS to pick the rangers with the girls.
Guys: (in unison) nooooooooooooo. Damnit.
Barry pulls out straws
Levy draws the short one
Levy: @&$@!!!!
Guys: (in unison) laughs

Been watching the NYR (nhl) network "media day" coverage and its all Rags all the time and all about what the Rags will do against the Kings.

None of it has been what the Kings are going to do against the Rags or anything about our team having beaten the best team in the league and cup champs from last season to get here. So obvious that there is an NY bias.

Can't wait for this series to start. Cannot wait.

LOL at girardi using MTL as a comparison to us when it comes to facing competition. Also the lack of character on the Rags shines through when NONE of them acknowledge that their series against the Habs would have been significantly different if Price wasn't taken out Bruce Lee style early on in game 1.

F the Rags.

GO KINGS GO!!!

From a piece that Rich Hammond wrote on how the Kings have found their comfort zone under SUtter
http://www.losangelesregister.com/articles/sutter-600388-players-game.html

comes this very accurate observatio nfrom Willie Mitchell:

He's just a motivator,†defenseman Willie Mitchell said recently. “He's a guy who tries to get the best out of his players. He'll do whatever possible to get it. I always say he kind of keeps us comfortably uncomfortable.â€[/I]

That just really nails it.
