Real tough call for management. I guess it depends on what Chevy can get. But if he is traded and a good C isn't coming back that puts a lot of pressure on Perfetti to turn into a play driving playmaking center.
Yep, makes the learning curve for Perfetti much harder without a legit 2C to take some pressure off. Changes things for Dubois as well if we’re being honest.

Please look at his play for close to 4 years now-I am not sure why we are noticing his poor play now-this has been occurring for a long time. Maurice created a monster
Exactly ... Maurice created this mess and it continue until the whole coaching staff is fired.
Chipman needs to spend the money on a top proven "winning" coach and if he can't fix it you knows its time to get rid of the dead weight players.

He looks a lot better where he is playing second fiddle to a play driving player. He still works hard and has enough skill to play the facilitator role. I think it is likely that he sets up shop as the complimentary guy with Dubois and Conner moving forward. They can drive the play and he can muck and facilitate.

We need to come up with a functioning second line.
He has fit in pretty well with those two. Having a 36 year old RW playing big minutes with your top line next season is a bit troublesome though. I don’t love it.

Yup you'd need to run him as your matchup center and hope that Lowry/Appelton/XXX can also hard match so that you can get Cole out there against secondary matchups like what we did with Laine and Fly back in the day.

I think we would also need to go out and get a real good and physical winger to help with the transition.

Agreed but you can cut his minutes in other situations like on 4 on 4 and maybe he is on your second PP unit.

Not denying it's a good guess, but I don't think calling it 7-2 really anticipates that the Jets were in it for nearly the whole game and got to the point of pulling their goalie.
They pulled their goalie down 2. I thought they played well in the 1st. Didn’t think they were really in the game much after that, mainly from being short handed so much. They never really threatened in the 3rd.
Gassed, I’m not being critical. Is what it is.

If he plays like that I love it. Age is just a number.
Well being optimistic is great and all but it’s not exactly an optimal scenario any team would really want to be faced with. It’s nothing against Wheels but I don’t see him handling big minutes on the top line against top QOC. I’m not sure it’s even fair to expect it.

Wheeler showing why he is one of my favorite players. He looks great right now. He's been putting on a show these last few games.
I don’t know where he found his hands again but I’m glad he did. He’s been rejuvenated with PLD. Has really shone the spotlight on 55 even brighter. He’s been the same or worse away from 26.

Let’s see now, I predicted:

- I said it would be 7-2 Leaf’s, ended 7-3 Leaf’s so I was damn close.

- Leafs blow out I said, I was right.

- I said the Jets would be tired after back to back games and they were they were slow after 20 mins.

- I warned people about Jets having to play their back up and yup he wasn’t good (not blaming him for the loss but he wasn’t good).

- Lowry was Lowry behind the bench he did nothing to help.

I was right on all points and only off by one goal in the score.
You get a golden Star!⭐

Missed that Ferraro called out Mark on that short handed play. Good on him and it seems the media has stopped pulling their punches on him lately.

Ferraro has never really been too afraid to point out bad plays. I think he was caught with a live mic shittalking Paul Martin during a commercial break back when the NHL's GCL was a lot less professionally done and they'd sometimes forget to put up the "Commercial in progress" splash.

Just like KC. He looks way better defensively as well as putting the puck in the net with PLD.

I think Scheifele is gone this offseason. I’ve always loved him and I thought he’d be here his whole career but I can’t see him sticking around. Team desperately needs a shakeup and I think that’ll be it.

I’d rather try him with a new coach but I’m not sure we’ll be afforded that chance.
