Foligno looked great with Matthews and Marner, confused as to why that was removed.

Galchenyuk looked very good with Tavares and Nylander again left confused as to why that was removed.

Foligno Matthews Marner
Galchenyuk Tavares Nylander
Mikheyev Kerfoot Hyman
Thornton Spezza Simmonds

Nash, Engvall, Brooks

They don't trust Galchenyuk defensively and Nash is one of the best defensive forwards in the league. How is it confusing?

Yeah but imo this kinda sounds like turning being a worse team into an advantage, cuz "nothing to lose".

But we never felt that way when we were the underdogs in a series. Except maybe that first year.
It's been a LONG time since we were that team to pull off an upset as well. Were likely going back to the early/mid 90s while the Habs seem to do it every few years.

I wouldn't say it's an advantage, but I'd definitely say the expectations and pressure are heavily on us rather than them.

Well I like being the clear favorite for once tbh.

Yeah your math skills are suspect tho.

Nah, my math skills are actually quite decent. And I don't have the betting lines from years ago so I'm approximating. But feel free so show us your math skills, If I'm so wrong then what were the chances according to you of us losing to WSH, then Boston, then Boston again and then finally, Columbus?

Don't be shy now, show us your math skills. Or are insults all you got?

I stand by what I said, the odds of us not even winning one out of those four series was approximately 10%. And that to me anyway, does not qualify as the team playing "better than expected".:laugh:

I can't believe they're actually putting a b2b in the playoffs. What a joke.

Massively hurts us. Jack has probably never done a b2b or at least he shouldn't with his injuries this year. And I don't want to see Freddy at all. So stupid.

Win the first three, and hope the team is rolling.

I think the schedule is fine. If a team loses a series because of a single back to back they probably were not going to make it very deep anyway.

Honestly, I just want to win and be good. This team is more than capable of going on a run and getting deep in the playoffs, but they have to actually do it.

Just trying to help you avoid irrational fear!

Feel good! This is the first time we're the clearcut favorites in a series.

So not Wednesday, but Thursday. And just one back to back, I wonder if Jack can play all these games?

I also wonder why this series can't be played without that back to back.

I have to assume we start Andersen one of the back to back games. It's not like he can't be good enough to get a win. Hopefully the team is on a roll and he gets lots of goal support.

I expect they're trying to hit every Saturday and finish before the end of the month. They could always start the Tuesday, but it wouldn't be a great look for them to have us with 1 day off between regular season and playoffs as the division winners.

I appreciate it

I think it depends how the first few games go. If we go up 2-0 you might as well throw Fred a game for 3 or 4. If it's 1-1 and Campbell is playing well I think you let it ride.

Yeah if you're up 3-0 I think you put Fred in for game 4. If he loses, we're down 3-1 and have three more shots to win a game.

What's the complaining about? Back to back games aren't exactly what Montreal would want for Carey Price.
