I find they play down to lower seed teams.
I'm a big NB fan (had them as 1 of the 4 teams in my "championship contender" category) but they all looked off last night. Their breakouts were very weak the majority of the game and offensively looked like they were constantly trying to go 1-on-1 rather than use their linemates to get open. Have they said when Mathurin will be back?

I agree totally. I think he will be back around playoffs.

While it might only last 24 hours or so, it is really neat to see Matvey Petrov sitting 1st in the Points race, with K-Jack a couple behind in 3rd. I don’t recall if Brandon Coe or Justin Brazeau ever made it to the top of the table during their amazing seasons, but if not this could be a first ever for a North Bay Battalion member. With the team tied for 1st in points (2nd Pts %), DDV tied 1st GAA, 2nd SV %, Josh Bloom 1st short handers and Paul Christo comfortably 1st in + / -, the Troops are well represented in various categories.

It is interesting to read of the Hamilton Bulldogs’ situation. Apparently they will be relocating to Brantford for a couple of seasons while their arena undergoes extensive renovations. Some of their fans have expressed concern that this might be a one way trip to B’ford for the team. Which brings us to tonight’s MIS/NB game, which might be the first in several games comprising the Hamilton Re-Location Bowl Series. In a related story, there were 2061 tickets available for tonight’s game as at 2:00pm.

..Missy trades their stars for the future and Batt cannot beat them.....sheesh..
NB is struggling in games after a game the day before. Even if the wolves were never really in the game, that game was definitely physically taxing on the battalion.

They just play down to bad teams.
Plus they could use the leadership and physicality of Zito and Arnsby on the ice.

Junior hockey is a real head-shaker at times and this week was a good example. The Battalion go to Sudbury on Wednesday and have a relatively easy win. Then they play at home on Thursday and lose to Mississauga. Steelheads then go to Sudbury on Friday and Wolves shut them out 4-0. Go figure.

It certainly seems that way. The trades seem to have saved Misa’s draft year too.
Sarnia is definitely a better team because of the trades; truly win-win.
Think Misa isn’t eligible until 2024
