Ticket sales are decent for Saturday so far, heard from a few people today who said they aren’t spending anymore money on a team that lays an egg as frequently as our team does. It’s an expensive night out for a family of 4 especially when you don’t know if you’re going to see a good hockey team or not.
North Bay will support a hard working team but that nonsense last night was anything but. Too bad people can’t voice their frustrations on the Battalion Fan Page on Facebook. It’s just a non-stop Battalion wet dream over there and you get roasted if you say anything negative. These young men are aspiring professionals and do need hear the reality of their play.

30 goal scorer and 23 goal scorer are buried on the 4th line getting 2 shifts a period. Can't score when you're sitting on the pine. Where do I insert Wakley? I'd try him instead of Jackson on the PP. He's been flat since Christmas!

Josh Bloom is a frustrating player to watch. Invincible at times. On the topic of invincible has anyone seen 30 goal scorer Dayln Wakely?
Wakely (at centre) with Petrov was on a 40 goal pace.
Romani with Petrov would score at a 40 goal pace …Petrov makes everyone better.
Tarasevich has turned it up as of late.
I think VanSteensel & Tarasevich are playing much too much with the Battalion trying to always match Arnsby against the top line.
Have VanSteensel-Procyszyn-Tarasevich as the the real 4th line imo.

Frasca was Petrov’s responsibility
The left winger should be covering the opposing centre in the goal area? It was definitely blown coverage that needs to be addressed in the video meeting room

Very Very well said.

After reading sone of these quotes so of you guys really need to watch the actual game instead of just reading stats. Biggest gap in my humble opinion is a predictable and unproductive PP that the coach refuses to change and the lack of physical play. We are up against the wall and could be up 3-0

Josh Bloom had a pretty good night for game 3, does that show that I watch the game? I’m sure that you, more than most would appreciate this post.

I’ve been saying Peteov/Wakely/Tarasevich should be together for the last 2 months.
I don’t understand why he won’t put them together, I believe that Wakely had like 10 goals in 10 games when the were.
Mind boggling, especially for the runner-up for coach of the year. RO looks lost and is getting outclassed badly by our opponents in all 9 playoff games thus far.

I think you would agree that Petrov - 0 goals in 9 games. Ertel - 1 goal in 9 games. Zito - 2 goals in 9 games and Bloom - 2 goals in 9 games aren't great numbers. Snipers gotta snipe!!!

Not a chance, kid can’t skate. I don’t think LA even wants him. They would have kept him.
Kid is a clown.
Oh don't say that around his mom!! She'll let you know how good he is. Should have heard her in the Hamilton series.

Settle down mom! You're embarrassing the kid

The Facebook groups are flat out embarrassing and delusional. Heaven forbid you acknowledged the poor performance that you paid to watch

Snipers need more TOI. VanSteensel & Tarasevich cannot be on on the ice for every defensive face-off in edition to every time the opposition top line is.
Petrov-Arnsby-MacDonald or Petrov-Zito-Arnsby can be the checking line with Petrov keeping tabs on Clarke.
At the very least, VanSteensel-Procyszyn-Tarasevich is the fourth line.

The only think you need to do with him is check him and he will back away from the puck. I’ll give the kid props for his iq tho. He tries to jump the play all the time so forwards need to be aware of that.

Not *all* of us on that site are delusional.... Here's my last post there. "They got away from that physical, pressure packed game in Game 3 and it showed. Would love to see them get back to treating the Barrie Colts like pins in a bowling alley and hitting anything in a Navy blue jersey that moves! The results were great in game 2 - the more they got knocked around the rink, the more Barrie backed off - and everntually, they folded." I'm under no illusions - if North Bay does not match the effort, physicality and intensity of game 2 they're going to be in a world of trouble. DiVincentiis is more than capable of stealing a game if needed - but with that talent available on that team, there's no way he should *have* to hold the Battalion in a game all by himself.

Clarke was hit much, much more frequently in game 2 at NB than any game I’ve seen him play this season. It was effective in limiting him, but did not in any way deter Clarke from wanting the puck.

Semi-major news from the game lineup sheet: Troops are going with the 11 / 7 setup. 4th line centre E-Pro21 is out, replaced by Tnias Mathurin on D, first game since Oct. 20, 2022, second since May 27, 2022. D-Wake and Romani are 2/3 of the 4th line. Is this a solid and logical coaching move, or one of desperation?

I don’t think it’s desperate. Battalions are a better team. We just need to see if they show up

And VanSteensel-Arnsby-Tarasevich get the Battalion on the scoreboard :)

I could not believe how many Colts “fans” left after the third period and even more after the first OT.
What a nice rink that’s full of quiet people. The only time it’s loud is when the big screen tells them to.
