Agreed, total a flat response tonight but 1 goal and right back in it.
Sustained pressure in the O Zone would go a long way. Passes jumping everywhere. 1 weak opportunity and it’s back down the other way. If they don’t come out physical and fast in the 3rd it very well could be over

..3rd period Barrie looked worn down......thinking Battalion depth over Colts factored into 3rd period push....dumb penalties certainly did not help......officiating crew looked out of their depth....bad linesing fer sure..both ways...did any ladies make the cut for playoff crews......cannot be worse than Cairns...Monette...et al......

Listen I’m not a fan of Clarke but I could tell you that his hockey iq is off the chart. The kid is a clown and I don’t think he could skate the game but he’s an intelligent player. I love Nelson, he’s a powerful skater, physical player and has a great shot. Did Nelson outplay Clarke? Absolutely.

Not sure I'd question a teams fanbase when the Battalion averaged less than 2600 on a first place in the division team, good enough for 19th in the league.
Battalion playoff average attendance - 3730
Barrie playoff average attendance - 3594
:sarcasm:
Again your community has 3 times the population. See ya next year.

Still hung up on this eh. That doesn't seem healthy. Never mentioned the Colts and I was just stating a fact. Glad to see the bandwagon is nice and full for the playoffs. Go Petes.

Thought it was a great, fast hockey game last night. Pete's will be a handful. There are a couple of guys sitting on the 4th line that deserve more regular ice time. In limited minutes they are producing not only points but chances. Just because you're older shouldn't guarantee you big minutes if you're not producing!

Are you referring to the Battalion and Wakely-Romani? I think they are getting a fair share of a four line rotation 5 on 5 with Petrov, Arnsby, and Jackson (less last night) getting the extra TOI as the third on that line. Wakely-Romani are on PP2 too.
I would have VanSteensel & Tarasevich as fourth liners getting limited 5 on 5 TOI and have Petrov-Arnsby playing against the top lines, but VanSteensel-Arnsby-Tarasevich is the checking line. That doesn’t seem likely to change no matter how well any of the Battalion forwards play.

Our vets need to be quicker to move pucks East/West on transition and OZ entries against PBO.

Even in the Barrie series guys like Jackson, McDonald and Ertel were hanging onto pucks too long and consistently ran into opposing sticks.

This PBO team clogs the middle really well and they're aggressive on the back check.

I'd like to see Petrov and McDonald separated at even strength also. Petrov can be a gamebreaker in this series, but I believe he needs a quicker linemate who he can dish off of.

Maybe just play Petrov for 12-15 minutes of the first period. :) Petrov makes everyone better; Wakely-Tarasevich, Wakely-Romani, Jackson-Ertel, Zito-MacDonald all produce considerable more with Petrov.
As many points Zito has been accumulating playing with Petrov lately, he has just as much value to the team getting a few less points playing with Bloom & MacDonald imo.
