Very winnable series. Bad goal on winner unfortunately but had a few goal replay goals break our way.

PP has been and, I fear, will remain same old boring easy to defend.

Game sheet (NB) has Procyszyn out, Tarasevich back in; Kennedy out, Winslow back in; (PBO) Stillman out for 2 as per League media notes..

We need 26 off of it.
Needs to work more off of the half wall and go low to high to open that lane to Petrov/McDonald.

Peterborough is aggressive on the high options and it's really limiting the quality of looks.

Wasn't Bloom on the top unit earlier in the year?

PP will be our Achilles Heel. Test another zero for two(maybe 3) effort tonight. What is worse is how predictable it is and how easy it is to defend. Plus PP1 uses between 1:30 and 1:40 of every PP. I have never seen a Team use the same group for the full PP every time. Am I nitpicking because I see it as a massive issue

Absolutely. We have 19 with the best shot in the league and he doesn’t even touch the puck. We have 27 who is our best set up player and stands in front of the net like a Pilon? Not hard to defend a PP when you use 3 players and all from the outside

Been saying that for a couple of months now. No variety, same ole same ole. It usually starts with a lost faceoff (same guy taking the draw), down the ice it goes. Reset, then the stupid drop pass thingy. now pitch and catch with the same 3 guys. Shot, miss the net. Reset....

but we are even up again. 2-2 coming home. McDonald looks off. Sick?? Christopolous looks gassed!!

Keys to victory:

Get massively out faceoff’d
Get massively outshot
Get something other than empty netters from Owen van Steensel (and do it twice in his best career game)
Get 6 points from the checking line
Get 0 power play goals (again)
Get an all star net game from DDV

Et voila!

good game for you guys last night. Seemed like the rink was full, so good for you guys to overcome the "noise". Is Wakely hurt, I usually notice him, but not last night. I know he played but not much.

Wakely and Romani are stuck on the 4th line with a rotating forward. My guess is their age is the reason why. The both play special teams.

Romani loses the puck most of the times. He thinks that he’s still in minor hockey and can dangle through everyone. In my opinion he should see minimal ice time if we are down.

Disagree….Romani is solid PP guy. The problem is he is on PP2 and they never get to play. PP1 utilizes the full power play and HC continues to let it happen

I don’t think these kids aren’t trying. All 3 players play hard and it will come. This is a teams sport and as long as we have more goals at the end of a game that’s what’s important. Lots of pressure on these kids that for sure. They will each get one tonight. I think the bigger thing is to have a few players not play selfish and move the puck. Forecheck hard and not give away odd man rushed.

Seriously, the league needs to deal with Lockhart’s antics taking on the bench, tossing Dom’s equipment around and getting a measly minor penalty. Get real.

Sure hope Zito will be ok.

Embarrassing down big in game 5 of the playoffs, you already get physically engaged with the goaltender, kick his blocker around like a child and try to taunt the entire bench while we already know you won’t fight a single one of them. Unfortunate result on Zito, doubt Gauvreau is running someone with intent especially against his former team. Othmann is another guy, wouldn’t fight OVS16 when he dropped them the other night but threw his gloves down the second Winslow turned his head tonight

It’s clear that the Petes believe their only chance is to mess with Dom both physically and mentally. It always seems to be the 3rd and 4th liners too, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is being done on the coaches orders.
Sad tactics really.

Correct Spez, McCallum did slewfoot Bloom at the final buzzer and the official actually had his arm up. Guess will see what shakes out?
Saying maybe collar bone for Zito.
