Did they just feed in to Sam and Joe and went local affiliate during intermissions? Because the world needed to discover Bill Pidto MSG 150. The Fastest 150 Seconds in the National Hockey League TM.

Was at the game, but I do DVR the games to see the replays of goals and the 150. That 1st intermission MSG 150, Pidto phoned it in. It was just a full 150 coverage of that SEA fan Dr. pointing out that the VAN trainer had a cancerous growth and nothing more. I'll let it slide cause who isn't phoning it in before, during and after the holidays.

He played good as the game went on but not sure which game you were watching . K'Andre Miller was the one shutting McD down and laer on DRAIS too

On a couple of grade A chances it was Fox who boxed out McD and got his stick on the shot.
While Miller has his moments, particularly his stickwork, he still makes way too many bad decisions. I will say, though, that he is improving and has the tool kit to be a force.

Fox is subtle, but the guy just controls the flow of the game.

Reaching. He didn't control anything last night, Miller was the defensive MVP by far.

Bad decisions like what? He played lights out.

Now I have to question which game you were watching.
Gallant, for the most part, was rolling his D pairs at even strength. It wasn't like he was matching KM against McD.
I checked the score board and neither McD or Drai scored against any of the Ranger pairs, so overall, the team did very well defending.
Miller's last two games have been his best. Right now, his stick is his greatest weapon. His weakness is making bad positional decisions. Some games he gets away with it, some, he doesn't.
I'm not here to bash the kid. I think he has all the tools to be a really good player.

Afraid this will set Kakko back. In addition to being a bust himself, Chytil is really poisoning the well for the other first rounders.
I actually think Kakko would be better off with Chytil, or it might at least help his confidence short term when he has to be that line-driver. You can see it lately in his game, he's starting to defer too much to his linemates instead of making decisions himself. Longer term this shouldn't be an option though.

He will be a great player .The last two games showed us a lot from him and he has a whole lot more to give . Forget about that Phoenix Dman Jeff C....we have our own version on the way soon enough . Patience required though . He is our left side shut down guy like Trouba when he picks up the hitting aspect . 10-15 more pounds will bring it .

Watching the replay, that rush by Laffy on that 3rd goal was a thing of beauty. Skating with power and confidence, we need to see that more out of him.
I really do think he'd be better served at RW. His angles/lanes change on his off-wing and it's conducive to his playstyle. He's predictable and easy to contain coming down the left wall IMO

Wish I could find a clip of Miller faking out McDavid who was hot on his tail. He's looked really good lately.

He was just toying with McDavid last night.

Honestly, I am not sure if there is any other player in this league that I would trade K'Andre for besides said McDavid (but Hedman included). I would never do like Miller for Makar (albeit that takes into account that we already have Fox on the right side and as an offensive QB).

What are we complaining about tonight?
1) Their Corsii was less than 90%.
2) They did not have 93% of the High Danger Scoring Chances.
3) Oilers scored a goal.
4) Rangers did not score 29 5-on-5 goals, so what did they really accomplish?
5) Oilers had more than 5 shots on goal.
6) Gallant didn't win any challenges.
7) Igor didn't score a goal. Doesn't matter that he didn't play.
8) When they did the stick salute, they didn't all raise the sticks at the same time, nor did they hold the stick at the same angle, nor did all 20 lower the sticks at the same time. Maybe they can get some of those military drill team instructors to help with that.

Edit: 9) Silly me, how can I forget, They did not win the face-off battle.

I like Miller, but c'mon dude...

If this is the Strome we're gonna get going forward, rather than how he is with Panarin, y'know what? I can live with the team re-signing him. That line's showing serious chemistry.
He does need to show he is not simply riding Panarin's coattails. On the otherhand, even if he was, the chemistry works.

@Kakkling Lafter

Isn't it crazy that when he make the lineup changes he was supposed to make it worked out? Isn't that crazy?

What I said then 100% applied to then. Let's see how the lines look when Panarin comes back and if he continues to do the right thing.

With 2nd half mika going this team is a handful for sure

I’ll tell you something else. Lafreniere doesn’t miss often. I promise you there isn’t another lefty on the team that finishes that strome set up from where it came from on that side of the ice. Very difficult and laf always makes it look easy. He’s going to be a heck of a player.

Dude, we're tied for first in the ENTIRE NHL. Even before the last two games, there was no conceivable argument to fire Gallant. None. If we fired Gallant after the Panthers loss, he would've been hired the next day by some team. Just admit that it was an overreaction, spur of the moment thing on your part. Shit happens.
