Bingo.

49ers top concern right now needs to be filling their locker room with consummate professionals. They're so far off from contending that they just need to bring in good influences for the younger players. They've done that so far.

I'll take talent over pros but they need both. Just more of the former than the latter.

This is getting pathetic.

Well it was a pretty pathetic point I was responding to.

Yes they do. As I said earlier, they're still years away from seriously contending for anything.

With the right moves, they could seriously contend in 2018. The turnaround time doesn't always have to be that long even from the bottom. It's not good odds but it's possible.

They'd need to draft exceptionally well for that to happen (like what Dallas did last year). Not just hit on a QB, but also at a number of other positions. The book is still out on how this FO will handle the draft.

Given what they've done so far, they'd either have to take one of the DL's with the #2 or trade back to start but I agree that they'd have to do that to get into that position sooner rather than later. I mean, they literally can draft any position on the defensive side and it would help if they panned out tremendously. lol

Dallas had a lot of pieces already in place before drafting well last year. I don't think someone like Dak or Elliott would have succeeded without having one of the best offensive lines in the league and good receivers to throw to.

I totally agree. Just implying that that's the sort of success our rookies would need to have if we're going to accelerate the rebuild.

And to their credit, they did still draft well even if the O-line was a huge part of Dak/Zeke's success.

Not to mention they've had the most brutal schedule the last 8 games.

And because of that, Curry, Thompson, Iggy, Green are all sitting tonight against the Spurs.

Don't they want home court advantage? The Spurs are only 1.5 games behind. The Spurs will be without Leonard and Aldridge tonight but you'd think the Warriors can suck it up for one more day and try to get another game on the Spurs. For some reason I don't think the Warriors are winning the championship this year even if Durant is 100% healthy. It's just a gut feeling I have.

Nah, it's not worth it. The rest will give the big guys 3 days off before the next game which will help in the long run. They'll still have time to build back their cushion, and Leonard isn't playing today either.
The Warriors had a ridiculous 8 games in 13 days; even Kerr said it was the worst schedule he's seen since he's been in the league.

Those half-court chokes killed Curry's confidence. :sarcasm:

Anybody else going to the USMNT World Cup qualifier against Honduras? I'm really excited for it.

Yessir! Right behind the goal in 117...cheapest seats possible and still $90...

Pretty excited as the last "important" USMNT game I went to to was the Brazil game back in 94.

Avaya should be an awesome atmosphere. Quakes games get pretty loud but USMNT is a different level.

I live about a mile away from Avaya and i've heard crowd roars with my windows open for goals during previous international games there

It's a great atmosphere. I encourage everyone to at least go check a game out on a warm summer night. $25 standing room only is pretty cheap.

Tonight should be something else!

Was out of town this weekend but would've gone to the game had I been around. So glad the US not only won but put on an incredible show.

Can't wait to go to a Quakes game sometime this season.
