Espn said it, it must be so!

My mindset is that this is a rebuilding year. I have no expectations of the playoffs, so I will enjoy watching the youth and system grow.

Definitely a rebuilding year. Actually, no. It's an overhaul year. Let Kelly evaluate which guys need to be gone and which positions need to improve/change for his system to work. I'd like to see more than half this roster completely flipped by this time next year.

The Giants failing to get a closer at the trade deadline is gonna cost them the season.

Interesting article on the evolution (or devolution, to be more accurate) of Kelly's offence, and what happened between 2013 and 2015.

Article here: https://theringer.com/chip-kelly-san-francisco-49ers-offense-f332f053870e#.2yvu31xwc

Synopsis: Defenses figured him out after 2013, but he didn't change. His offenses were incredibly simple and basic in 2015. Worry is that, despite him claiming he would change, he's still running the same predictable vanilla offense.

Relevant quote:
“We knew what plays were coming,” Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner said after the game. “Their offense is kind of predictable. They have a lot of plays where they can only run one way.”

This wasn’t an isolated incident. After losing to the Cowboys early in the 2015 season — a game in which the Eagles managed only 7 rushing yards — Eagles receiver Josh Huff said Dallas’s players were calling out Kelly’s plays before the snap. Another example came in Week 1 of 2015, as the Atlanta Falcons repeatedly checked into defenses designed to stop whichever play Kelly called. Whenever he called an inside zone — again, with the running back and tight end aligned to the same side — the Falcons, in turn, checked to a defensive stunt designed to blow up that specific play.

The Raiders won a predictably high scoring game today. Ballsy decision to go for two at the end, but Carr looked banged up. Maybe that's why Del Rio decided to go for two.

That looked like a clean plate lamb chop dinner. 28-0, 49ers. Final.

Krappernick can keep kneeling, he'll have a better view of a superior quarterback and leader leading his team to victory.

The Giants are bordering on a laughingstock at this point. Blow a 4 run lead in the ninth to the San Diego freaking Padres. At this point I had lost count, but I read this is the 27th, yes TWENTY SEVENTH, you read that correctly, blown save of the season for the team. That is honestly embarrassing. How is that not some kind of record or at least close to it. If they had closed out even one freaking third of those games, 1/3 for gods sake, they would be in first place right now.

What has happened to this team since the all-star break, I just dont get it.

As a non-Giants fan, I was surprised that they didn't get a reliever other than Will Smith at the deadline. Smith is more of a middle relief/loogy.

They were trying to get Wade Davis, but he ended up going on the DL, so they got Smith instead. Needless to say, Davis would have been a much bigger help.

Suddenly the A's look like they have something going for them for next season.

Hopefully Beane doesn't screw it up this time by trading someone like Healy away like he did with Cespedes.
