The Warriors are getting destroyed.

It's early and they'll figure it out but a couple of real concerns with this squad were exploited last night: lack of rebounding and perhaps a lack of depth.

Iguodala looked terrible last night, arguably the Warriors worst player. Livingston was so-so, West looked bad and Clark didn't make any shots. Klay of course being off the mark didn't help things either.

They're definitely a deeper team. I expect much better coached, too.

I have no idea why the Grizzlies let Joerger go. It wasn't his fault that they set the NBA record for players used in a season (I don't remember if they broke the record, but I know they were close.).

I even know that he's a good coach, and I hardly follow the NBA anymore.

He was in the last year of his deal and wanted an extension with more money. Once it became apparent that wasn't going to happen, he asked to be let go.

The value of the franchise has gone from $1.2 billion to $2.7 billion under Jed's watch, I don't think they mind spending that money on coaches with $400m+ in revenue and over $100m in operating income yearly.

I am assuming you are quoting Forbes, which is very open for debate. Pretty sure no NFL teams actually open up their books, and Forbes looks at their own variables to determine a Forbes value.

The only California real estate that has decreased in value over the past 3 years are 49er PSLs. That is a fact. Nobody could sell their seat license for more than they bought it for. Probably wouldn't even be worth half.

Now, if you include Taylor Swift and Beyonce concerts I have no doubt they are one of the most profitable venues in the country, but that has nothing to do with football.

Oakland seems much more committed to the A's than te Raiders, probably because Davis really wants to move whereas the A's ownership is willing to make things work in Oakland.

Davis can't afford his own stadium, he will go where he gets one. Wolfe wants the opportunity to develop

That's the feeling that I get, too. I think Mark Davis wants to move the team to Vegas.

Well yeah, they're building him a 2 billion dollar stadium. Do you think Oakland would do that? Plus, think of all the extra revenue streams available in a place like Vegas. Plus, it's not far from Los Angeles, where they still have a reserve of fans from when they were down there, I am sure. I'll bet you anything you'll see a big increase in the number of celebrities attending games if they're in Vegas, which is free marketing.

At the end of the day, the NFL is still a business, and the Raiders stand to make a LOT more money in LV than they do in Oakland.

I totally understand it from Davis' point of view. I just wish it wasn't so.

I even previously read Jerry Jones supports this.

On the bright side, this means that Jerry still has San Antonio as HIS territory, while the 49ers are about to turn ALL of Northern California as their bastion.

I wonder if it would take a terrible Packers season to make Aaron Rodgers homesick for the 49ers and for Colin Kaepernick to come home to Wisconsin.

Question is, do you really think the NFL will let him move?

If they don't will he move them anyway? His dad already won that court case for him.

Goodell is a moron, but it doesn't take much to realize the Oakland Raiders are recognized around the world, and the Las Vegas Raiders is just a marketing stunt.

Economically Vegas would be the worst market in the NFL if the Raiders move there. Immediately.

Oakland has the potential to steal a ton of SF fans over the next few years if they just sack up and build a sweet stadium near the water. Literally copy/paste from the SF Giants.

Las Vegas is not a well off town. Celebrities don't fill seats. Yes you will have the weekend crowd going to games, but who is going to buy season tickets? STH are the backbone of an NFL franchise, and people who make their home in and around Las Vegas cannot afford the expensive NFL. Last I checked the median income was something around $35k.

If the NFL really thinks Vegas is a viable market they should move an expansion team there. They shouldn't take one of the most recognizable brands and make a short sighted decision to move them because the current owner can't afford to do anything.

Vegas has almost twice the population as Oakland and they don't share territory with another team.

There's no question the NFL will let him do it.

There are 7 million people in the Bay Area. Population is not a good argument for Vegas vs Oakland.

It sounds like the fight for Oakland is being taken up by Goodell.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/g...land-while-davis-wants-game-in-vegas-in-2017/

Commissioner Roger Goodell said on Wednesday that he's going to do everything in his power to get something done in Oakland.

"We'd love to have the Raiders stay in Oakland. We think that that's a positive thing, we've also been very clear over the past couple years that that requires getting a long-term resolution to their stadium," Goodell said. "We still don't have that solution. Our staff is working with the mayor and officials in the Oakland area to see if there are alternatives out there, but we don't have one yet."
Goodell didn't rule out the possibility of the league stepping and helping to develop the land in Oakland where the Coliseum is currently located.

"I'd be speculating a little bit because there's not a proposal. I think we remain open to any potential solutions that make sense," Goodell said. "We're not developers, we have owners who are developers."
The commissioner also added that the league will continue to try to negotiate with Oakland.
"We are engaging also because we want to support the effort, we want to make sure that there's nothing that we haven't missed," Goodell said. "Mark's expressed his frustration about the lack of progress, we understand that, but we want to be engaged and we want to see if there's a solution with the officials in Oakland."

He wants to stay in Oakland, but they need to get a stadium done. I bet there are some real estate developer owners in the NFL who would LOVE to get a piece of some NFL stadium real estate in the Bay Area.

The point is if you move this team from the Bay Area they are probably never coming back, but you could easily expand into Vegas with an expansion team. Why not have your cake and eat it too?
