What kind of crap sport can hold a whole 7 game series in 1 week? And they dare talk about fatigue?

The broadcast of Chicago Cubs’ 8-7 victory over the Cleveland Indians in 10 innings earned an overnight rating of 25.2, Fox announced on Thursday. It was the most-watched baseball game for Fox since Game 7 of the 2001 World Series, a decisive game that featured the New York Yankees and the Arizona Diamondbacks that yielded a 27.0.

The Indians got Chapman to lose all confidence in his fastabll, should've capitalized on his slider-only ninth.

Part of that was Chapman was running on fumes and breaking balls are easier to throw and locate when your arm is gassed.

Oh to be a Cleveland fan.

Spend all summer and fall making 3-1 memes, drum sets, and cookies, and then this.

Not sure if I have ever seen such sweet karma dished out so quickly.

Kings started off giving a damn now they have stopped trying. I get that the roster is sub par but it'd be nice if they gave a damn.

If they continue this play with Collison in the lineup it'd probably be smart to do an actual rebuild, don't know if the brain trust is capable of it though.

It'll be sad if they don't trade Rudy Gay. I play fantasy even though I hardly follow the NBA anymore, and I read before the year that they don't plan on trading him even though he'll probably walk after the year.

I don't know if they could trade him. He's a 90s player stuck in the 2000s, and his only real significant value is as an expiring contract. But the Kings aren't in a good spot for either type of cap-dump trade because a) they're not good enough to pay a crappy team to take his contract and clear out current cap space to shore up holes in the roster and b) they're not willing to commit to a rebuild where they could trade him to a cap-strapped team to help the other team get some off-season relief in exchange for picks and prospects or whatever.

Plus there's the whole dumb sunk cost fallacy issue that the Kings might want to recoup their costs on acquiring Gay, and that sure as hell isn't happening now given his age, contract status, and play style (setting aside that like I note, it's a total fallacy to be guided by that logic anyway).

The 49ers offense is (was?) playing well, but they can't stop anyone. They just fumbled at the one.

The Raiders play a Sunday night game for the first time in a long time.
