He does but he is absolutely capable of turning them around. He is pretty good at setting the tone for a team regardless of what position he's put in.
And I bet Demeco takes a few Niners coaches (already interviewing Slowik for OC and reportedly thinking about Undlin as DC) and players with him. Azeez is buried behind Greenlaw/Warner and could be a starting LB there, Willis and Ebukam could definitely go there to get paid, and Jimmie Ward is an obvious captain for their defense who has made it clear he wants to get $$$$ this offseason.

It's a better job for Demeco than the Broncos job since he gets the chance to build something from scratch rather than getting forced to make it work with whatever they got going on in Denver

Always the case when a coordinator leaves. It’s not just that person you are replacing

That coach is likely taking a position coach like LB, DL, DC coach with him and making that person be their DC. And likely promoting an assistant DL coach to be their DL coach. So 1-3 coaches will get a promotion if they join Ryan’s.

Reality of the business when you have a strong coaching tree.

Moving from pass game coordinator to OC is a big step.

McVay’s staff has been raided a lot over the past few seasons. Seattle in the LOB days had their D coaching staff get raided.

I'm curious to see how long Shanahan can keep bringing up new coaches before his own system breaks down.

That's going to be a big question next year. Ryan's going to the Texans, taking pieces of his crew. it looks like Lynn could be going to Washington. Changes will be afoot...

It’s natural for the likes of Saleh, McDaniel, Ryan’s to take SF coaches whom they have worked with with them into higher roles. It’s whom they worked with.

Question will be whether those people who get moved up in SF are able to do the job. As well as who is out there for SF to add to their staff.

The good programs get raided. How it works.

All the Kings did at the TDL was acquire a waste of a roster spot from Brooklyn just so they could trade Kevin Durant to a division rival.

The first Kings season that is hopeful in forever and the freakin Suns get Durant geez. Just how life goes sometimes. I hope they take this adversity and let it drive them. Go Kings!

Pretty much all the West contenders beefed up. Hope the Kings have a plan during the buyout period. They could use a back up pg and a back up 5. Their 1 weakness is on the boards, they need to get better there.

It's time for the Metu show!!!
I like Chimmy, good energy guy. He’s a bit undersized though. We need a guy who can go up against guys like Stephen Adams and prevent him from rebounding a series away.

More like the 40whiners
Comes off very whiny. But they’re being asked questions about it and they’re answering. It’s not like they’re just going on social media rants, either.

At the end of the day the game was still relatively close despite not having a real nfl qb for more than a single possession. They held Hurts to 90 yards passing (minus the obvious Davonta Smith incompletion) and held their running backs to less than 3.5 yards per carry. The 49ers should feel sour and unfulfilled with this result. Now it’s up to them to put up or shut up next season.

I don't think the Kings had any real assets to give up for a real difference maker. I thought Plumlee on Vanderbilt would be good. Though the market price was so steep I'm kinda glad Monte stayed put.

People saying trade Keegan for OG are NUTS.

Hope they handle the Mavs tonight.

maybe the salty 49er players were right to talk shit, even though it was a little anticlimactic.
They were asked questions over and over and answered some, then the media did what it does; framed it to look like the players were just venting on social media. Even the Deebo comments were guys on a podcast literally asking him where the holes were on Philly’s D.

I come from the ‘shut the hell up when you lose’ era, but it’s a lot easier to stay quiet when you can just disappear. Way too many voices nowadays.

I grew up an A's fan and even I know they're as good as gone.

Their only hope to stay at this point is if Elon Musk buys them and forces a move to San Jose. With what he had to deal with while buying Twitter, fending off any legal challenges by the Giants should be a cakewalk for him.

I still don’t see them moving to Vegas. They will get an expansion team, but this is just mlb still trying to get the city of Oakland to concede everything in negotiations despite not having ANY real pressure from Vegas yet.

Potential sites, but f***ing whoop. Means nothing until they can actually guarantee some funding.
